Spider Woman or Silk?

Silk for me. The sheer fights she can take just by dunking trash cans on the opponent is just wild. Silk is one of my favorite onslaught options too.

I have them both, and while Silk is amazing Spider woman has incredible damage potential as well with her furies. Spider Woman's power stings hit like a truck and she has poison immunity as well.

They are both just great champs. Silk is a little bit easier to use and probably faster, but spider woman’s damage is insane also being able to nullify her own buffs and make them passives (from awakened ability) is awesome. Spider woman also has some defensive use if you’re looking for that as well

It's too close to call. They both have a lot of utility which makes them unique. Many people don't understand that Silk's true rotation involves sp3. Combo, heavy into relic, combo, heavy into sp3, (two furies and passive stun) medium, medium, medium, medium, combo, heavy into relic, combo, heavy into sp1. It's really simple once you understand it.

I have both and of course they’re both amazing. I think silk’s kit is more straightforward, but I don’t think one is easier to use than the other. I’m saying Jessica because her damage isn’t very easily mitigated (silk loses a lot of damage if the opponent has high physical resistance) and Jessica has way more defensive utility while silk has almost no use on defense.

I got 6max rank and 7r3 of silk, I used to use her much until Kabam disabled her usages such as Incursion.

As much as I love Silk, Spider Woman is a dual threat so scores higher in my book. That said, if she gets nerfed then Silk would be on top.

So does anyone know whether the infinite Silk stun lock is going to be nerfed by Kabam or if it's just part of her kit permanently?

I think it’s just a matter of time before they put a pause in her rotation so that you can’t throw that early medium when the opponent is on the ground against the wall.

Right, but when?
Because I've spent 10 minutes learning the timing and am now using a 6R4 Silk to finish 7R3 defenders with 100% health in this stupid BG meta.
Even if the nerf is coming, if it's two months from now I would max rank my 7 for those two months because she's the most broken champ in BGs right now.

I mean, it's not like she's not a good champ without that cheatcode.

Yup yup, after pulling spider woman and r3ing her this morning, I can confirm she's not touching silk Titania and ham on attack. Its really not even close. Damage wise at least.

Only top science champ i'd say shes better than on attack is photon. But that evens it out because she's a dual threat while the rest are purely attackers.

That being said, after reading her kit, only thing I can say is a threat is her fumble and small chance to evade but we've all fought spider gwen without a counter before and as long as you're not just brainlessly mashing buttons shouldn't be too difficult or at least just use an evade counter.

As for the fumble shouldn't it be easy to play around by ANTI BAITING the special 1? The sp2 seems pretty easy to outspace as long as you keep your distance when trying to bait it.
I haven't fought her ever but reading her on paper she doesn't seem such like a big deal on defense.

How is she not even close to them lmao. She has more utility than Ham and Silk and her damage is comparable to both while being guaranteed unlike Hams, there’s no rng to her power stings. She’s also hitting like 25k mediums with class disadvantage and her sig lets her make those furies passive so even when you can’t apply debuffs she hits hard. Only thing is she does want high sig because she’ll retain all the fury buffs as passives and gain them on intercepts so your damage skyrockets. Not to mention she’s one of the champs who can heavy counter Zola

And she’s still very annoying to fight on defense having fought her without a counter. That evade really messes you up and if she does throw the sp1 you’re in trouble, especially since those power stings take effect through the block. She’s not the most insane defender but she’s tough if you’re not using a counter

Silk has better damage and more utility, Spiderwomen is good but need sp2+sp1, while silk and spam can end fights with a sp2 or before. Spam and silk also have more anti mystic utility, spiderwomen getting buffs is always problematic against champs like destroyer for example.

Her fumble is definitely managable for most time I have fought few and placed her few times on defense and she's not someone who need counters, just wait out the fumble or I think fumbles are removed when you throw a special.

Spiderwomen is definitely very good sp2 to sp1 ends most matches and is decent of defense, but definitely not better than silk it's just another spiral / gentle situation, recency bias.

Imo silk has more utility on offense even without the corner lock mainly with the stun on heavy, the safety evade and the slow on dupe. Ham is faster on bgs so he has that going for him but that's pretty much it.

For defense tho? She is like fighting spider Gwen with the added affect that her sp1 is undexable when you play the game with your eyes close and don't handle the fumble. You honestly don't need a counter you just need to be aware of what she does. Calling her a duel threat is extremely generous for the small amount of defensive utility she has going for her. Especially since you can heal off of her ensnare if you have WP (which a lot of people do) So messing up won't have many repercussions. At least when duped ham puts a power sting on you if you try to parry him and cancel that evade (you will heal from it but it will stall you)
If you max out inequity she has something going for her tho.

I think spiderwomen si definitely close to those guys, sp2 to sp1 kills most champs and anti enchantress utility is nice, But I agree her defensive value is little overrated

Silk has good damage but better? Without the silk lock? I tested both and they’re very comparable. Not to mention Spider Woman has 2 avenues of damage, her basics hit incredibly hard and so does her power sting bursts.

She’s not the greatest defender but people labeling ham as a dual threat and not her is wild to me. She can definitely mess you up just as often as he can and if you take the sp1 into the block you’re in trouble

I have both at r3 duped and I think Spider Woman is on her level. Spider Woman does want high sig though, her damage unduped isn’t as good as Silks. You need to retain the fury buffs as passives

Spider Woman, though she does struggle vs some mystics like Destroyer, she can take class disadvantage skill matchups as well considering her power stings are Severe and that she hits hard on basics too

Silks basics hit harder let's not even start. She only hits hard when you're punishing a special attack which is only one hit. You're putting it like she also hits immensely hard on basics in addition to her power stings.

Yh she'd probably be closer to them in a battlegrounds setup where an sp2 sp1 rotation would be enough to take out 300+. However 2 sp1's was still struggling to kill 500k health which silk and ham can in 30 sec so damage.
But thats besides the point, what do you mean she's got more utility??? Maybe more than ham. But what utility does she have?? She's counters enchantress thats it. Her ensnare is a 15 second wait to get up which lasts for 7 seconds. Silk can get her slow which counters evade and unstoppable. She doesn't counter unstoppable and miss she just gives you a 2 second protection in the form of evade which goes on cool down for 10 secs. So you're not using her for FOOTLOOSE. That debilitate which happens to be an exact RPG counter to enchantress is what you're calling utility?? She can do alot of fights outside the sci class tho so she's definitely a good champ. But yall have got to come down when evaluating new champions lol.

As a new defender, she's going to get you kills because people are going to need experience when facing her to get better at fighting her.

She as well as Jean, bastion etc are experience what we call new champion hype where every new champ gets placed on a pedestal and gets alot more credit than they're deserving of as long as they're not totally useless. After the hype dies down, we'll see how well she does.

Silk can nuke most fights in one sp2 while spider women needs 3 bars of power .silk's utility, especially auto evade and dex replacement is more valuable than spider women utility.

If you wanna place swomen nd ham on same league then that's something I'll agree

I do not play silk with silk lock and can guarantee you SILK IS A MUCH BETTER and safer ATTACKER

Yeah I'll agree and it's crazy people even compare her to silk, people are too quick to forgot silk's crazy damage, utility nd the amount of defenders she can take.

Silks basics hit hard, yes. Spider Woman hits hard on basics even without the boost, she can kill ROL opponents in under a minute easily without even utilizing the power stings damage at all so she’s got really nice damage too

2 sp1’s are easily enough. If yours is not awakened and a decent sig you’re literally losing out on a ton of damage because she retains her fury passives when you have her duped

Please show me Ham and Silk doing the fight in 30 seconds. I saw a max boosted and suicides R3 Ham with a synergy team and it took 27 seconds for ROL WS

She has poison immunity, neutralize immunity, she can take the power denied from MD, she has ensnare which stops a bunch of stuff, and her safety for unstoppable and miss is clutch. She also does have a built in auto evade which can save you in BGs

And yes part of why she’s so good is her versatility outside the mystic class. Mystic isn’t that tough when it comes to defense. She has the range to take Zola, she’s a really quick onslaught nuke, and she’s one of the few science champs who can take bullseye decently well

You were also placing Dazzler on a pedestal when she dropped and downplaying Deathless Thanos so I don’t think your track record is amazing

Not denying how amazing and valuable Silk is, she’s still a top tier science champ but I think Jess is on her level and she can be used as a defender. I guess we’ll see but I had to do this same thing when Silk dropped and people were calling her overrated

Her dupe has ABSOLUTELY NO RELEVANCE for this matchup and is mostly helpful for mystics
