Battlegrounds Matchmaking failure

I hate the battleground matchmaking
It's been hell for me to go through it and I dont think i will be able to claim not even the 10k radiance
If i had at least the solo event i would have cried with the 7* shards at least!

Why should big accounts have easy access to the most valuable resource in the game? That's the other side of the question you pose, and it's what happens when you place the premier in-game currency in a versus game mode. Progressing accounts trying to grow wade in and get chewed up, and big accounts obtain the most valuable resource by feasting on them instead of having to face an actual challenge.

Big accounts don't have "easy" access to the most valuable resource in the game. They simply fight and defeat the opponent and earn the rewards. Fight, win and you can get the same rewards, can't win, you can't get the same rewards. It's that simple. And no, I don't have a very big account. I always hit my celling in each season of BG and start getting very big accounts who are skilled too. I know I can't get the rewards above that because I can't defeat them. When I will be strong enough to defeat them, I will get the same rewards. Simple!! 🤷🏻

Bigger accounts have always gotten the best rewards not sure why bg’s should be any different.

Big accounts don't have "easy" access to the most valuable resource in the game. They simply fight and defeat the opponent and earn the rewards.

When the opponent is significantly weaker, the flight is easier. This is obvious, and absurd to deny.

Fight, win and you can get the same rewards, can't win, you can't get the same rewards. It's that simple. 🤷🏻

I'm not suggesting that it's complex. I'm suggesting that feeding progressing players to big accounts is not sustainable or advisable.

If they changed the matchmaking system where progressing accounts could only match other progressing accounts you wouldn't be getting radiance anyway as they'd have to give you a lesser reward package. Want the same rewards as the bigger accounts, you're gonna have to fight those accounts the same way those big accounts have to fight each other to secure celestial in the gc.

You're a progressing account, you will have a ceiling in bgs right now. Improve your roster and that ceiling will get higher over time.

Just because radiance is available doesn't mean you're capable of getting it right now

The large accounts will also be improving their roster, and they'll do it with a huge advantage in resources. Accounts that had 1-2 R4s last BG season might have 1-2 more this season, and another 1-2 next season. It's currently insurmountable and it's only getting worse.

It's fairly obvious why some players are very happy with this arrangement, and it's fairly obvious why those of us presently stuck in limbo are not.

It's not intended for lower progressing accounts, period. Those with issues can contact the author directly with complaints.

I'm not ftp but I'm also not a whale. I buy sigil for arena express and the plat tracks and that's about it. When I started I playing bgs I was uncollected and I couldn't make it out of gold. Then as I progressed my account I managed to get to vibranium but couldn't break into the gc. Then suddenly my account was able to make the gc consistently but I could barely win a match in gc. Then I started to make it out of uru into gamma and so on. Right now I'm in q3 and hoping to hold it for the season.

Progression happens gradually. Stop crying and start improving.

I am fighting for the bare minimum of the radiance which is to get only 10k (reminder that the time to complete is extended only for this month) , now the question is what do i get with 10k radiance?! A single t4 alpha for a whole month!
Icame in the game after 4 years and when i came back in january my best champion was a r3 6* collosus since then i explored act8 and the available act9
I spent some money during heart of fire event (first and last mistake i did with this game) and now i am at 40 7* by now which some of them came from HOF
I havent touched the endgame contest yet
So now i had a very limited amount of rank up materials and the rng of the crystals didnt give me the best defenders and i had to focus on attack first for story mod
So now i need very specific champions at a decent rank to defeat a arnim zola and company at high rank
Now when i catch up after a year and get these defenders i have up until now there will come some other defenders at the same annoying level so i am still gonna be at this problem which is not being able to have a fair competition
And again i am god damn fighting for 1 t4 alpha in one month which even that i cant get

But that side of the argument is illogical. Bigger accounts earn bigger rewards, that's just common sense. If you're going to go after those exact same rewards, then you should expect to be playing against anyone else going after them. Once upon a time matchmaking would take account size and progression into consideration. One season, I believe more UC and Cav accounts made it to the GC than Paragon accounts (this is before Valiant). UC and Cav cruised through while Paragon accounts struggled to make reasonable progress. Matchmaking is far fairer now than it has ever been, and if it results in lower account struggling to achieve higher rewards, then it's working just fine, because a UC account should not be getting the rewards that I am getting as a Valiant.

If you're going to present an argument that says lower level accounts deserve easier access to high end rewards, then chuck that out the window and drive away. It's a foolish argument. You have fair access to those rewards, but that doesn't mean it's going to be equal and guaranteed access, and it shouldn't be.

As for the argument around progressing accounts trying to grow, you can do that through story and special content like the rest of us did. If you're trying to grow your account through BGs, it's gonna be a tough ride. Go as high as you can, enjoy the rewards that you can reach, and come back stronger next season.

That's not true. Once you catch up to the endgame you will receive the rewards and new champs at the same rate as the rest (non spenders anyway). Judging by where you're at right now the radiance is probably too far out of reach for you and that's fine. Just keep progressing, start on act 9, do some of the endgame stuff like crucible and you'll make it eventually.

That's not true. Once you catch up to the endgame you will receive the rewards and new champs at the same rate as the rest (non spenders anyway). Only endgame is left to do mate story mode is all finished

If Kabam ever use a tier system for BG, I hope you don't come complaining how your tier doesn't have any radiance or high rank rewards. I'm still waiting for BG to becomre tier based like story content. The rewards for proven and Valiant monthly quest are very diferent, take a good look at the rewards based on the level of difficulty (proven to Valiant) and let me know if those rewards will help you progress faster. If Kabam used a tier system, those will be the difference in reward so let see how much more complaints there will be popping up. Let me know if you are ok with a fair match if the rewards are based on a tier scale like the monthly story quest rewards.

I keep getting matches with 3 or 4 r4 champs and a lot of annoying defender at r3
They can ban my limited champions and i get left with lower ranks to fight or place defence

I am saying that matchmaking should be based maybe on overall PI or even prestige that would be more fair imo

It's not fair if you're going for the same rewards. Until they make a change there, this is the fairest version of matchmaking. While I understand the point of view of being a smaller account that doesn't want to lose the match before it started because your opponent dwarfs you, there's no fair argument that can justify accounts never facing someone stronger than them. It results in an easier path for smaller accounts to get the highest level rewards. If you can't beat the big accounts, you don't deserve the higher rewards.

Fair to you is making sure I can be rank near the top but only facing similar roster size. You don't want to face any real competition. It's like saying the bottom half of a sports team should not be playing against the top tier teams since their chance of winning is like 10%, why does the NFL, NHL, NBA league allowed such stupid matches. Let the top teams play only each other and leave the bottom teams alone. How is that fair in your eyes? This is what you are suggesting in reality. Let me know if that's what you want.
