Might cost a bit because of them only being R1, but it's overall one of the easiest fights to counter in the quest because it's all managing your hits, keeping 3 debuffs up and dexing his specials. Just make sure every time you throw a heavy you throw another one as your next hit and you're golden. If you can dex his specials well you should hardly take any damage. Spunk or OG should both do fine, just up to you to manage the fight well.
