No need for awakening, she’s like She Hulk but way better, easier to build her damage than She Hulk in the short term and also easier to upkeep that damage via debilitate. She Hulk I feel needs some tweaking so her furies proc more often until they hit a certain number and duration needs to be longer imo.
I've always found it pretty reliable, Ed; but it'll depend on your playstyle. Jessie, the best thing about D-Shulk that her AI control is really effective, so she can control power gain fights with a passive Taunt effect. Added to that, she can control or reverse regeneration (especially if she runs Despair), reduce excessive power gain with Spectre, easily max out the Inequity mastery, and counters both Miss and Unblockable.Personally, I run both Inequity and Despair, making her ridiculously versatile.Lastly, her Sig ability is nice to have, but not really necessary; which is a good quality in any champion.
Masteries are just a way of making every champion you play with share some additional abilities. Spend a bit of time reading then, and they should make more sense. They're useful in different ways, at different times; depending what opponents you're facing.Despair and Inequity are two really useful masteries which give new utility to a bunch of champions who wouldn't otherwise have it: they allow any champion who places debuffs to essentially prevent the opponent healing. Heal Block is a traditional Tech ability which champions like Shuri and Ironheart don't have. But if you run the Despair mastery, they can get easily block Healing using their damaging debuffs. So can champions like Luke Cage, D-Shulk, Okoye, and various other champions who otherwise might find champions who regenerate a struggle. Inequity allows you to use debuffs in a similar way to reduce the opponent's adjusted Attack rating. Deep Wounds enhances all champions who inflict Bleed debuffs. It's a little odd, in that it has it's strongest effects on champions with very short Bleed debuffs, like Nick Fury and Blade. So if you have and use champions like that, it's a really powerful mastery to invest in. Parry and Dexterity are so fundamental to the game now that they almost shouldn't be optional. Petrify and Stupefy are pretty self-explanatory. Here's a video from Simula that will help you: https://youtu.be/92FE2e3g-JE?si=hRtRHIusLm5v3s4p
You could take some points out of defense - having 4% Perfect Block isn't really all that helpful. And Recovery is a great Mastery if you run champions who significant regeneration abilities. But if none of your top champions do that, is it worth having three points in?Once you've got some points going spare, you could put them in Inequity, but again: if you have several champions that place multiple debuffs. I wouldn't do it just for D-Shulk; but if you run champions like quicksilver, Shuri, Ironheart, Chee'ilth and others that place multiple debuffs, it's definitely worth considering. The same goes for Deep Wounds: if you've got several Bleed champions that you want to improve, think about it. For me, the utility of despair and Inequity is my preferred option, but putting five points into Deep Wounds can be transformative for bleed champions.
