Help me choose my first Skill R4

I’m about to R4 my D Thanos (yes, not very original but he really is great) so that leaves the last class for an R4 - Skill. I’d been waiting to get most of my best candidates duped, and managed to get Yelena done today so am ready to pull the trigger.

I’ve got a lot of good options. I’m probably leaning towards either Fury or Bullseye, but Yelena or Hit Monkey could be options also. I’m not skilled enough to fully maximize Crossbones so am likely leaving him at R3. I primarily am focused on story content and BGs, but am not a top tier BGs player. Always make it to GC but never in the top ranges.

What do you all think?

Shang 100%. It’s who I did, and I absolutely LOVE him! He’s phenomenal in every part of the game, and in theory has no ramp up limit (other than no big enough healthpool.) his utility is off the charts. If you want a fun, but massive dealer go Shang. You won’t regret it.

Shang was outdated years ago and still continues to be mid especially if you’re pushing BGs outside of metas like this so definitely not him lmao

Thanks @Emilia90 i know she is great on defense, but since I just duped her today I haven’t used her much on Offense yet. What has been your experience with her? Optimal rotation?

Previously I would've voted Nick but mine's been getting cooked this season and the one before, there are a lot of high damage consistent mutants these days and with block penetration stat focus being nerfed, he's going to be nothing but a good staller.

Yelena, even once you learn how to dex her sp1 can still be very dangerous on defense and decent on attack.

Bullseye is a solid option too but he has so many counters these days he's starting to turn into more of a trap defender rather than just a hard one like Enchantress or Serpent.

Yes, as I’ve been thinking about this through the day I’m starting to land here. For me most of Nick’s value is coming from his questing/synergies more so than a BGs defender, and he can do that at R3. Bullseye is great and has a faster ramp up on attack, but he is less effective as a defender these days given all the hard counters. Yelena - for now anyway - seems to be the best dual threat.

Oh he definitely wrecks stuff even at r3, the r4 is just so overkill on second life I don't even think we have big enough hps for him yet. The first time I tried him in RoL I was killing every defender in 20 secs before I even got to sp2.
Yeah there are so many strong counters now for Bullseye Sinister Gentle Onslaught Jean Dazzler Okoye Starky Bastion etc he's more of a trap defender rather than a skill based like Yelena and I doubt we will see a reversal counter any time soon.
So yes I would go Yelena if I were you, best option by far.

Nick probably needs it more cause if they dont have a counter to yelena theyre losing either way regardless of r3 or r4

Actually the tankier Yelena is the more likely one is to screw up against her, and the longer the stalling because you'll be baiting a lot of sp1s.

Well you all aren’t making this easy. Definitely a Nick vs Yelena choice. I’ll spend some time with Yelena on offense the next few days and see how much I like her. That will probably drive the final choice.

Guess I shouldn’t be surprised at the lack of Bullseye given the number of hard counters now out there.

Because she already nukes r4s in 30 secs, she would be overkill and get permabanned I'm BGs 90% of the time.
