The game mode isn't just about skill. That is a large component, but it's not the only variable. Skill, roster and draft all play roles, and sometimes RNG can be rough, but you've got a be skilled enough to overcome it.

There no skill when your opponents draws all there best defenders and attackers and you draw all your worst. It’s not right to lose due to RNG in battlegrounds that’s the worst feeling.
It’s not a pure skill mode and the easiest way to get frustrated is to think it is skill. The average player match will be decided most times on RNG:1) your opponent selected for you2) draft options 3) AI behavior. You can influence #2 a lot by roster size, but eventually your ceiling will be people with similar rosters. You are playing a card game, trying to maximize your deck, and then hoping RNG goes your way in the fight. Skill can help you climb… but it’s elite skill that makes the difference. There’s a reason the same people play on celestial every season. If you are a mere MCOC mortal… and you draw bad luck on the draft, play it out and see if your opponent messes up or if the RNG screws them. If not, just take the L and don’t take it as anything more than it is. “It’s the worst feeling” because you are thinking BGs should be all about skill. It’s not. Sometimes it’s just Texas Hold’em.

I guarantee you if everyone had the same rank champions and the same champions for that matter the people currently at top would not be, im not saying I want that btw because they have spent money and hence deserve to have that roster but its definitely 60% based on roster

The game mode isn't just about skill. That is a large component, but it's not the only variable. Skill, roster and draft all play roles, and sometimes RNG can be rough, but you've got a be skilled enough to overcome it. I used to agree with this but with the amount of defenders with chip damage or damage reduction abilities that require direct counters these days, that argument doesn't really hold anymore. No amount of skill will help you overcome the Serpents Zolas Dark Phoenixes Maestros Attumas Dominos Things Red Skulls and Bullseyes if you don't draft good counters. Draft RNG is starting to become more important than skill (especially with the terrible GC metas they've been creating lately) and that's not a healthy direction to take the game mode in. Now sure you could make an argument that most of these have a decent amount of counters but that still doesn't change the fact that skill won't help you overcome any of these when you get bad draft RNG.
