Think of it like a poker game, that’s basically what it is.

Everyone gets the same 52 champs and have a hand of 5 that they are trying to improve to make it the best scoring hand to stack up more points.

Combination of skill and rng just like poker itself. The fighting is pretty irrelevant. They made them easy on purpose.

They said it themselves, this is a grind mode. Even more casual / mindless than arena, from the looks of things.

From what I’ve read / watched, it doesn’t seem like it really matters. They just need it to be 52 different champs from equal classes that they can assign arbitrary points / values to. The matchups and fights seem completely automatic. The whole experience seems to be the “thrill” of drawing champs from the deck.
