Can't decide who to R3 with T4As expiring

UsagicassidyUsagicassidy Member Posts: 2,125 ★★★★★
Hey y'all, I have about 5 T4As in my overflow about to expire in a few days, and I'm really not sure who of my R2s I should take up to or is deserving of an R3... any suggestions would be helpful!

Sparky, Rintrah, Hyperion, DPX, Smash, Domino, Bishop, Guardian, and Shang are all VG options.

What kind of content are you looking to do? BGs? Story quest?

So much depends on your playing style and preferred game modes. For BG, I love Bishop. You either have a specific counter for him or you lose. Dust is the same, but Bishop also a strong attacker in most game modes.
Enchantress also an instant ban in BG, but I like playing her on attack just because.

    NTW, Wolf, Shathra

    NTW, Wolf, Shathra

I will say after all this time I still haven’t “gotten” WWBN (had as rank 2 for like a year and a half) or Shathra (have had rank 2 since the start of the previous Titan).

They can be acquired tastes, I suppose. WWBN is really an AW or Everest/EoP type champ. He can do just about anything, but his value really comes in tricky matchups.

I have come to really dig Shathra. Fu my damage source, reliable power steal, just a very straightforward champ who works everywhere.

How many r3s do you have already? NTW and Wolf are the kind of champs you take up when you already have a solid and diverse foundation. I think Shathra is good enough to be an early r3 for most accounts…

I do find myself losing to Bishop constantly even when I have what I think is a good counter. It’s like you need someone who’s both incinerate immune *and* can block unblockable attacks and if they don’t do *both* of those, I’m dead.

Who do you use against Mr Sinister in BGs? Maybe rank Guardian?

Use Ironheart....if you have her. Her Armor Ups give her Incinerate Immunity. Get 5 debuffs on Bishop to activate her Tracking. Once she has this, she can block unblockable specials from Mutants. Use heavy to remove prowess.

Problem is, she's likely to get banned if opponent wants to use Bishop. IDoom works against him also.

If it comes down to her being banned, and you have no one else who has both utilities, I'll say go with somone who is incinerate immune and work around the unblockable.

    Bishop
    Hype
    Xbones
    Arcade
    Galan
    Hulk

Jealous of that Hyperion. Would rank 4 for fun. I have them all at R3 except Xbones (on its way) and no Hyperion at all.

OGIM or Prowler are great counters for Bishop.

Don’t have Prowler either. Have an unduped Iron Man for now.

    Got 12 t4a
But super low on t5cc and basics.
I can buy stuff to rankup 1 or maybe 2 to r3.

    Champs I need to rank.
    Spiderwoman r1
    Bastion r1
    Zola r2
    Okoye r1
These are just the new ones, have a pending list of old champs. But t5cc and t6cc be like we'll stop you right there Mr.

I would rank up enchantress, starky, galan, shatra, titania or shocker (There's no specific order) for bgs. Enchantress is a great defender and you can use her for an everest content, starky (preferably duped) is fun to play champ and one of the best attackers in bgs, galan is a dual threat, shatra is not a bug, she is THE BUG. I really like her on offense. Very versatile champ. You can counter her only by having a lot of energy damage resistance (because of this, it's unbearable to fight bishop or yellow jacket with shatra). Titania is a must-have for every type of content. Shocker is NUMBERS GO BOOM, also a dual threat in bgs, if your opponent can't intercept, so it works untill you reach 300-350 points (I think so. I've reached this season 220 points and rarely have seen anybody could take down shocker with yellow bar)

I think Mike had a post the other day saying he could see who disliked his post.

Which means you can see who is disliking every single post.

It’s a forum. Not a 3 guys who delete posts for no reason board.

    @KabamDORK @KabamPinwheel.

Nothing will come of this. Just the same 3 people deleting what they don’t like.

Mate, the thing is: there really isn't any content in the game you actually 'need' r3 champions for.

If you're looking to get serious in Battlegrounds, that's where r3 decisions become important. So if that's your aim, you should say so.

If BGs are your thing, then I'd lean towards Guardian, Hulk, Enchantress or Arcade.

If you're in an Alliance that's serious about War, ask them; in case there's a strong defender required.
