Valiant gauntlet quest 2 ( mole man quest)

Champ restrictions on valiant gauntlet quest #2 says science and mutant. So first part i was able to choose from those 2 classes, second part switched to only skill champs i was lucky to have 3 skill tht can purify the poison from the node if not i would be wasting lot of revives, third part switched to only cosmics like what? And last part switched again to just skill champs. It clearly say on the restrictions science and mutant. So is this a bug or what?
