Well, the new Valian gauntlet sucks...

Just another case of trying to reinvent the wheel when "round" was perfectly fine. I thoroughly enjoyed the previous 2 valiant gauntlets using the crucible format, it was genuinely fun. But they just couldn't leave a good thing alone.

Hard to gauge this one properly with it being significantly bugged. Feels faster, which I like. But having to swap 3 champs at a time is kind of annoying. Feels like it almost requires more thought than the last version. But again, feels faster, and I appreciate that at least.

Way better format than the last two. Not sure why Kabam makes it so crucible regens your hp for every swap yet the Valiant EQ forces you to use potions and revives. One is endgame content and the other is BGs health pools.

First impression is that choosing three champs for a trio of fights is far more annoying than choosing one champ for each fight. I get that it enables synergies, but does anyone really need synergies for this content? The nodes are already buffing our champs.

After completing the first quest for valiant gauntlet, “irritating” is the best overall assessment I can come up with.

The format is weird. What’s the idea with repeating the same boss four times? I heard them mention on the stream is there was something interesting about the concept. But it just seemed repetitive and odd.

One champ, one fight, crucible style was working just fine. If people can’t put together 12 or 13 decent champs from each class, then they shouldn’t play this content.

I will take blame on this, I asked what was the point of them wasting time on synergies when a lot of the content was single based champ gauntlets and stuff lol. Yay 3 champs!
(I hate this and its bugged so I can't even rush it to get it over and forget about it)

Original idea for the last 2 were far more enjoyable and what's with the downgrade in rewards when I thought all EQ rewards were getting buffed? Overall a terrible change and not even worth the headache of choosing champs to complete.

24 iso selectors is the worst thing imo, like honestly, just replace it all with basic or random crystals or whatever. It's just wrong to put more effort in rewards opening than the fights of the quest

Yeahhhhhh. After doing just the first one, it wasn’t terrible. I only have three problems with it:
1. I don’t like the fact of having to fight the boss three times with the same node. Kinda dumb and irritating esp when it’s psychoman constantly putting concussion on you
2. The nodes need to work with who is available in the class required to take in. For example, there’s only a handful of champs that counter evade WELL - in the skill class, so mix master with some pretty potent defenders like spiral don’t go well. It would be different if it was a number of classes so you could bring in champs like bastion with pursuit. I also could not get the AI to throw specials and got backed in the corner way more times than I should have…you know it’s bad when you’re dexing for over two minutes just to get backed in a corner…and I had no idea Okoye had that kind of special reach. Just wasted revives imo at that point.
3. If they are going to implement reusing a champ, PLEASE TAKE OUT THE STUPID 20% degen - at that point it’s not even worth reusing unless they’re just an absolute nuke or you’re near the end

This is just my opinion. I understand it’s supposed to be for people with large rosters and valiants (which I am), but at the same time it shouldn’t take over 5 min for a fight.

Well, we (or some of us at least) have complained for a while about EQ being stale. Which it was for a long time. But I found the last two months’ crucible-style quests to be a good update.

Today’s quest loses me completely. I can kind of see what they were going for (kind of) but this thing is clunky as hell. I suppose we should be glad they are trying new things, but this feels like a busted idea that should be quickly put out to pasture.

I really enjoyed the last two months of valiant content. Seeing completion rewards and exploration rewards on the last three quests though is a step in the wrong direction. Also, being forced to swap to champs that are not relevant for the bonuses being offered and can’t counter the nodes is just no fun.

Recently it feels like they just think of random ****, toss it into the game, and see how the playerbase reacts. You have the ccp beta, use it. The ccp beta is just sitting there, it feels like a circle jerk of creators testing out new champs for free and having an unfair testing ground over the rest. Use the platform you have created, have them try it out, show it to the community, get their and rest of the playerbase's feedback, and then proceed with that knowledge in the following months. I don't get it man.
