The Huge dependence on raids should have been announced earlier

The summoner's fest event has almost a third of its points in Raids.
Why didn't the team communicate this info earlier considering the optional nature of nightmare raids??

They are certainly aware that not all alliances do raid, much less Nightmare raids. If participating in raids was absolutely essential why didn't they announce it prior to the event such as to allow summoners to switch alliances or join one.

Instead they just stayed radio silent on the topic, they let the raid week roll out like normal.

Im not even complaining about the huge dependency on raids, I'm literally asking why were we not informed in advance when the best rewards are completely unattainable without raids.

Luckily, there will be three more weeks of Raids, so your alliance can still get some points.
my guy that's the whole issue here, it should be imperative from my post that my alliance doesn't do raids, to do this I would have to leave my alliance, join a new one coordinate with the new members and qualify for the raids. Is that possible in the duration of a few days before the next raid week begins?
You only need to be in the alliance for 24 hours before you can play raids. So if you move before midday Sunday you can do the next round.

Raids are 20% of the total available points, so really not almost a third. Alliances that don't do raids don't have to do raids. Kabam doesn't seem to like communicating ahead of time for most things anymore because they know how the community will respond to what they're putting out. Should really make them go back to the drawing board with that stuff, but they just choose to delay the disappointment until the last minute.

so because they're afraid of backlash, they just wait until the very last moment so that people who could actually do something about their alliance situation, now can't, and hence ultimately amplify the backlash?
Some big brain strategy they have got
That's probably not their original plan, but that's how it's been working out pretty much since banquet.

Yep. My alliance wasn’t able to participate in nightmare bc ours got switched over for some reason…and now we’re out all those points…then you add all the bugs with them in on top of that and it just sucks all the way around. In addition to raids there’s the twitch drops that apparently you were supposed to wait to claim after the event started - also never announced. Yet people are ahead a significant amount of points for doing just that. It’s all just one big mess
You’re only out 3,000 points from doing normal raids at this point

    It's not absolutely essential, though.

you mind elaborating on that mr wisdom? would you rather I spend thousands of dollars when i could have very well switched alliances, participated in raids and reached the last milestones had I been informed prior?

why dont you lay out a spreadsheet and see where you land on the milestones without a single point from raids?
If you're trying to do EVERYTHING, then perhaps. However, that's really an elective process. It's also extreme. Not all Players are meant to get all Rewards. Quite honestly, I'm playing as usual and whatever I pick up will be fine. It's not essential to do everything and get every Milestone, and people shouldn't drive themselves crazy if it's not in their wheelhouse, when you consider the Rewards, especially the last several ones. Some Titan Shards and a few extra thousand Gem Shards aren't worth that much stress. I suspect they didn't want to encourage everyone to go all out. That's not an essential thing.

If somebody is currently in an alliance that doesn’t do raids, they shouldn’t look at any big event and assume they’re going to get all the rewards.

The final 5-6 milestones contains a full t7b in fragments and a titan crystal.

    I'll not comment on communication.
But I want to say is If someone is not doing raids by default. It's kinda falls on them.
Im sure intended target players will reach there without spending or over grinding the game.

    60,000 points from nightmare raids

    300,000 points available in total

That means 20% gone if you do not play nightmare raids

Only for people who will completely avoid all iterations.

After first week, the ones who are willing will have to decide it for themselves.

While that’s a fair point, when have we had broad events in the past where Raids specifically were an essential requirement for getting rewards?

For the record, I’m not all that sore at not getting points for Raids (we don’t really have the manpower for even a small Raids effort). My main lament is missing out on MODOK, who I assume may be available elsewhere.

My primary beef, however, is the overall poor and scattered communication that seems to have overtaken the team. Players shouldn’t have to cover multiple channels just to figure out what to do in game.

I hope you get it mr zola.
Ill hold till they announced the comp. They might (probably will) include some points in the comp.

I hope devs are actually not that self absorbed and provide players some room for error.
The 15k point buffer is already gone by missing first set of nightmare.

In the end this is mcoc. Who has not effed up an event because of complications involved.
To this day I check sq 3 times before entering.
Lessons from the past mistakes savin us.

Twitch drop points were not intended.
And I don't mind some people getting them
What i say in most player benefit bugs is 'Lucky for them'
I know it may affect people who are going for rank rewards. But personally I'm just a normal player who don't dwell into what's going in the top dog tiers.

    Right @SirGamesBond.

I wouldn’t be in the top ranks regardless of whether we did Raids.

But re: Twitch points…communication, communication, communication.

We still have open questions in threads (visited by mods) asking which things get you to the 300K *free* points. Why launch events you don’t want to talk about?
