So if you play there the first days after a new season starts is obvious that you will match against them

Gonna be bad for a couple of months…lot of people who don’t grind GC will be content to stay in VT for a while to get 3 wins for the realm event.

My counter to the "get better skills argument" is...
If we're getting matched consistently against far stronger accounts e.g. I'm an 18k prestige account getting matched regularly with mid to high 20's prestige accounts (just lost to a 30k account)and I'm in diamond 2, where are the consistent matchups against similar or lower prestige accounts?
Don't give me the b.s. line that similar sized accounts aren't in diamond 2.
This is the 2nd consecutive season where massive mismatches occur.

Don't give me the b.s. line that similar sized accounts aren't in diamond 2.
This is the 2nd consecutive season where massive mismatches occur.

It's generous of you to treat the "skill issue" replies in response to BG complaints as good faith statements. They are, at best, projection. Losing when punching out of your weight class to beat a new ranked champ with few counters while your opponent punches down to beat a dated champ that has multiple counters does not constitute in any way a "skill issue". That there are some talented players who can thrive despite competing at a purported disadvantage does not change that.

It's going to be a lot more than that. The new mode coming out on Wednesday already proves one of my points but I will save it for the bigger thread to gather more evidence.

Thats the thing, if everyone wants to advance those "everyone" include lesser advanced players. Thats no excuse for these match ups

In this meta they may aswell.
I hate it when they do these pointless metas that you dont have to remotely work around, its basically just who has the biggest account

It's not a mismatch. You match against anyone in your tier regardless of everything else. That's how it works. We do this every damn season but here's the truth, if you can't beat the accounts in front of you then that's your ceiling for the season. Build a stronger deck and come back next season and try again. It sucks when you're at the low end buts that's how it works. When I first started playing bgs I couldn't get past gold, but I did the content and built my account up and slowly managed to get higher and higher until today where I can hang in quantum. I can't reach mysterium though and do you know why? Because the accounts there are bigger/or are better than me. I don't complain about that though as that's the game.

The vc meta is basically a vanilla nuke meta. The nodes don't do anything to restrict your champs. If you can't play this type of some meta then sorry, but it is 100% a skill issue.
