War defense placement

I’m trying to figure out why the game keep asking us to place our defender despite the war setting is on auto setting. It’s not because we are moving up in brackets? Even so the auto setting should still automatically do this.

It's not related to your “Auto Defense Placement” (which, btw, is indeed only applicable when you move up/down tiers,it automatically carries your defenders over from prior tier map and puts them on same node #’s in future tier map, without having to place separately in those Up/Down +/- alternate Tiers, which using this setting thus avoids having to do).
It is indeed the line after that set for “BG3 will have ALL it's defenders REMOVED, ie Cleared, after each war”, requiring people in BG3 to place defenders again every single war.
So, I assume you are in BG3 ?
Also, maybe assuming your alliance thinks that setting is for “HOW MANY” BG's will have something (?) done automatically each war. But AutoClear should be an indication it's not for automatically setting them, even if you thought it was “How Many” instead of “each BG checked”
