Crucible Conjecture

I started putting together an initial planning spreadsheet and 64 fights is a bit overwhelming lol. Curious if anyone else has started doing this also.

Do we think it will be the same as last year’s format or do you think they might mirror this month’s valiant event quest?

What’s everyone’s guess for rewards? Here’s my guess

- 1 Rebirth Crystal (1 additional rebirth crystal if completing during event)
- 1 Titan Nexus
- 1 awakening gem
- Handful of revives

Unlike act 7, act 8 bosses are hard and by same logic act 9 will be all hard as well.. so it's not wrong to expect r4 gem crystal and 1 r3 gem for completion although I expect titan nexus as well same as ordeal

Sorry but could someone clarify on what this is referring to?

It's bold to assume we will have 2 paths again like act 7 crucible.

Next month we'll get a new quest where you have to battle through all of the Act 8 bosses in one go (or so it seems).

To answer OP's question, I would expect some pretty hefty rewards. One path with 64 bosses, four of which are the Chronoserpentized ones, sounds like a lot. Especially if they keep the "You can't use the same champ twice" mechanic from last time. That's a lot of champions that you have to use and a tonne of planning to do beforehand. I have about 80 7* champs at r2 or higher, so things can become a little dicey.

We'll see how it works out in practice but to me, I feel as if the main issue will simply be time and stamina. Not in-game energy, but my own personal energy. I'm sure that there will be someone who knocks it out in one go, but I doubt I'll have the energy to do that. So I hope that the rewards justify the effort.

I didn't know we were getting a new crucible.
That's great news. I hope it's difficult because that usually means better rewards.
    Daddy needs a new R4.

If the only reward was a r4 gem crystal I'd be a happy man.

Is it confirmed to be only 1 path of 64 fights?

Oh, yes. In addition to that, we'll get a new crystal containing a pool of champions that were previously unavailable as 7* that we can earn throughout the event. The difference between that pool and last year's is that they will all get (small) buffs this time.

The pool is: Viv Vision, Sabretooth, Night Thrasher, Anti-Venom, Doctor Voodoo and Cull Obsidian.

Good news for you. They might keep it like Crucible1, you can do the fights whenever without sacrificing other quests.
Planning will be key, we have to use one of the spreadsheet planners. Thank you simula in advance!!!!

They confirmed on the latest livestream that there will only be a single path on the hard difficulty. And there are 64 bosses in Act 8. So as long as they follow the same "fight all of the bosses from Act X" formula that they did with the Act 7 Crucible, it should be one path with 64 fights.

But we technically don't know how the quest will look like. I'm just kind of inferring some stuff based on what they have said and how the last quest looked like.

Simula was soooooo helpful last time around so I'll definitely go and see if he does something similar.

That's a little mean. Makes it a whole lot less skill based and instead roster dependent.

Creative roster mgt is a skill in and of itself. Picking out the bosses where you can squeak by with an r1 is part of the challenge.
