I used a token, beat a level, and spent 10 points ranking up masteries. When I exited the masteries page I ended up back on the main game screen. I entered again, and I have to restart? Progress doesn’t save? I used a token to do nothing except waste my time?
The in-game “tutorial” was useless. The info immediately disappeared. I had zero idea about what was happening. Am I watching a passive turn-based scroller? The way I “play” is to watch the waves and then pick power-ups just to watch the next set of waves?
I want to be as diplomatic and positive as I can while providing constructive criticism, so here goes…this “game” is a dumpster fire, and so far I’d rather walk blindfolded and barefoot across a room with Lego strewn across the floor than ever consider putting any resources into this new mode.
I have done 3 runs with Thing, and when I look at the objective, I'm not given credit for it, so I'm at a point where I don't see the point in doing it if I'm not getting the rewards
Bugged./design flaws Masteries do not save. Hitting wrong button after finishing run does not save completion, uses entry and lose Mastery points.
No way to earn entry energy or healing/ revives unless spending $$.
A new game mode should have a free way to "test drive" the mode and try different things.
A 4 or 5 quest mini-game where there is free unlimited entry and can reset/ restart your game to try another build. A free source of healing and revives. A small set of completion rewards to start abd use in the real mode is enough for rewards.
Then after the players are familiar with the mechanics. You can offer the real mode with the real rewards.
Lost twice at 3rd stage due to insufficient health at last wave. How do I upgrade the champions? Through masteries only? Which ones do I put points into? There’s no health boost as well
Go undust the the old Atari system to play a game of Pong. Pong is more exciting than this mode. Maybe bring out the Nintendo handheld Donkey Kong game.
The game mode didn't come with a manual.
3 entries per 24 hours? Is it really stuck at 3,000 health?
Overall it was boring, it was not part of MCOC. There was no interaction in the game. It was more like it launched its own browser and a separate game with just F4 characters. Given existing MCOC has bugs, Kabam did this to as a means to avoid breaking the game further?
The announcement was a little hype. Why call it Doom Cycle? I was expecting Doc Doom on motorcycle arcade style game based on the title.
More than often I kept hitting the X which exits the mode. Kabam needs to take a class on user interface and navigation. When configuring mastery, I was expecting a Save button. Instead, clicked on the X which exits the mode; lost count how many times I did that.
This seems like an unpopular opinion, but I think it’s a fun mode and can be even more fun if you add complexity (not too much). Unfortunately, this mode crashed my phone and I lost a ticket.
It feels like homework tbh unless u spend 5-10$ to just get it over with right away, 3 runs a day when u need 8 for the chapters and FIFTY NINE for the shatter mode it is just way too much of a slog.
I liked parts of the mode i wish there was more to do within a fight itself but i honestly didnt hate the premise, the art was cool, but I just didn't like how long it is to get all the objectives. Cause yeah we have a month for it but we also have squad builder and raid month and battlegrounds (qualifying seasons so some people are focusing on just that) and way more things. BUT i think it can be improved and would be pretty cool eventually cause the rewards were nice
Personally, I love this style of game. I'm waiting for 3 chances each day. I know I'm in the minority here and I can totally understand why. This seems like it should be it's own thing, and if expanded upon I'd play it for sure.
Another day with no progress in getting past chapter 3. I also did a couple runs of chapter 2 to get the 10 mastery points instead of the 8 I seemed to get for failing chapter 3 but can't say that it feels like I'm progressing at all. I think I screwed up the masteries at first by spreading the points around the different characters since the game said something that made me think I should be using all of them but I've seen some people posting about just using 1 character so I'm not sure what the best FTP strategy is. Really dislike the mode and the way they set it up though.

Tapping doesn’t work anywhere. Swiping doesn’t work either. How do you control the champs 🤷♂️

Playing this mode disgusts me, 100% truth.

Spent $8 for the tickets to buy the tokens to knock out all the objectives. That was $8 well spent, boring, but easy rewards.
