Fantastic Fluctuating Box

I'm not typically one to pitch a fit about sales and stuff, because I get that they need to make money and whatnot, but how on earth did this thing get approved? $40 PER KEY, meaning almost $600 for all of them, and almost all the rewards are mid. The 7* crystal and the 7* AG, great. The Fantastic 7* Shards, less good, but not totally worthless. But everything else is gated to the Fantastic saga Champs, which makes them virtually useless until you're able to awaken them (in the case of Sig stones) or even get them (in the case of the rank up gems), and even then, it needs to be a Champ you WANT to use those items are. But as an example, I STILL have 40 Sig stones for the reworked guardians (or whatever they're called) that I can't use because I haven't Awakened the ones I have. Soooo.....

I'm just so confused at what exactly is supposed to be worth shelling out money for. There's a lot I can have some sort of defense about, but....this is just baffling.

  • It's a Fantastic Force Saga Sale, that's why there are Saga items geared toward the Fantastic Force Champions.
If you don't have any of those Champions you're wanting to invest in, this one probably isn't for you - which is fine.

Then it seems to be not designed for a lot of people. It's another "spending_event".
    Yes, it's a sale.
We will continue to have those - they aren't required to participate in, and this particular sale isn't moving the needle much in terms of vertical account progression.

I've seen people get the 7-Star Awakening Gem from the free key, as well as Valiant Crystals and Sigs.
The alternative would have been not to give a key away for free, but that isn't very fun.

Here's the odd thing about human psychology. In many cases, not giving a gift at all would have been better than giving a "gift" that is not just worthless but also self-serving (spending incentivization).

You basically gave me a coupon for a free drink if you buy a meal at a restaurant you own.

If you had at least given us the chance to work for more shards it would be better received.
The Saga isn't over, there will be more available.

my key gave me the 7 star crystal but my inventory had 1 valiant crystal, another classic win for the team

When I used my free key popped up up a 7* crystal and I got 7* crystal shards
    It was an annoying glitch

    Maybe lead with that?

You got to look at it from our perspective. There is no evidence there are more beyond the 7-day timer. And more importantly, that there are enough to form a crystal.

I'm a French player and I don't have the fluctuating box in the game nor the keys offers in the store.
Is it normal? Is this event reserved for some regions or countries?

with respect, saying ‘this probably isn’t for you’ misses the entire point. it’s not about the theme—it’s about value. $600 for mostly gated, situational rewards isn’t just ‘not for me,’ it’s objectively bad value for almost anyone who isn’t already stacked with awakened saga champs.

i get that offers are optional, but when the few usable items are buried under mountains of unusable ones—and the price is this high—it doesn’t feel like themed content. it feels like a predatory trap dressed in branding. ‘not for you’ doesn’t justify bad design.

also, i appreciate that you're engaging, but justifying the offer because one key was free doesn’t really address the core concern: the rest of the structure is paywalled, poorly balanced, and low value unless you get extremely lucky.

yes, it’s a sale—but when the design pushes players toward spending for underwhelming rewards tied to narrow champ pools, it stops feeling like a ‘fun bonus’ and starts feeling like bait.

a free key doesn’t change that—it just softens the landing on a flawed system. and saying ‘we didn’t have to give you anything’ might be true, but it’s not exactly a strong defense of the offer’s design. <3
