Max out Thing first, then HT and then either IW or Mr.F

He is. I'd personally suggest going teamwork masteries for IW and work and her. Then Torch.

I pumped out masteries for IW for story and shatter first, then worked on others. She's not maxed out, and neither is Torch nor Mr F, but they can all solo Shatter without any input from me.

    Bought the $3 deal.

Just max Torch since youre doing story still. I dont know how good he is in shatter.

Btw i just noticed that the doombots that deal burn damage, deal less damage per hit to human torch than to others, is there a somewhat similar interaction that happened to y'all

Max out Team Masteries first! Then work on maxing Torch. He burns through Story and Shatter. Put a few points each into IW, Thing and Mr Fantastic to make them stronger when you need to use them for the Dimensional Arcade Objectives. Just a little tip when you get to Shatter, you don’t have to solo an entire Shatter run with a single champion. To speed up getting objectives points, I did the following:

    Wave 1: IW
    Wave 2: Mr Fantastic
    Wave 3: Thing
    Wave 4-8: Torch
(Torch with as many masteries as possible)

Torch is the only one I've managed a full run on Shatter with.
IW takes too much damage and doesn't hit hard enough to get past wave 4.

From what all the spenders, I have seen commenting in various chats, who are already done with this event:
Max out 1 champ and that works like a charm.
All champs work. But focus on a single one at a time.
    And invest in team masteries.

Have you done this? Because I've attempted it three times and don't get credit for multiple champs in a run in shatter. @Mic-El

Yes. I did it exactly like this. Completed all the individual champion use objectives using this method. Now just working on the “clear shatter mode” objective.

I put points into Torch, particularly his team masteries, and then got through chapter 3. Definitely seems the way forward after trying him twice and losing. 3rd time did it.

I’ve seen some recommendations to upgrade the dash masteries first, and that’s worked very well for me. I’m primarily using torch

Not sure what everyone is talking about here, but I focused on adding masteries to Thing. I'm done with story mode and completed one shatter mode with him so far. I'm leveling up torch now for other shatter mode objectives.

Personally I went torch first but realistically building one character and then the teamwork masteries will do you for story. I like torch just because in stages with 4 enemies the burn can kill the first one by the time you can stack again sometimes which cuts down on damage

Is there a way to reset the mastery points?

I have 5 Shatter runs done. A couple runs ended with me even having full health.

I've been using Invisible Woman. Put all the evade you can on her. Max out her regeneration teamwork so she heals everytime she gets a shield. Add the shield and Invisiblilty specials. There's even a mastery that gives you upgrade points for everytime she evades. So, you can basically pick any perk after a round that you want even the more costly ones. I think I've had around 80-90 points left over at the end of runs.
