How to minimize the frustrations of not getting a champion?

Hello players and Kabam.

I'd like to propose a new way to acquire champions on crystals, as we see that obtaining crystals has become secondary in the tournament, as crystals are loaded with bad champions that we duplicate sequentially. Even Lagacy couldn't get Okoye on the Titan crystal, which brings a feeling of dissatisfaction. I'm tired of opening Titans and getting more sigs from champions I've already duplicated, instead of gaining something truly new. Juggernaut himself is one of the champions I don't have, and I don't even know when I will.

So, here's my proposal, since sig stones are easier to obtain: reduce the pool of current champions, so that only the champions we don't have or haven't duplicated remain in the crystals. This way, there's still the frustration of something bad, because it's a search for the best champions with the chance of winning something bad, but knowing that we'll eventually get what we seek. It's good to remember that before being a gacha game, MCOC is a fighting game, and we need certain pieces in our accounts.

    Since we've seen more the usage of the Gacha Box, there's definitely ways to expand the Crystal format for those who search for specific Champions

    Maybe, instead of having the carry over of Dual Class Crystals for 7 Stars, maybe doing it with a Box, could work. More expansive than the base Crystal, and appearing in Offers, but maybe the whole way the Box is implemented can make it trickier

    Right now, there seems to be only a Box at a time, so, most likely, do a trial run with the Titan after this current Saga Box ends. And then, see how the Community takes the option of a Box, not replacing the Crystal, and go from there to see if implementing the Box more consistently can work

    It's a gacha game, part of the play cycle is hunting for something and playing for rewards to continue hunting it. The more control you have over which champion you get the higher the cost of that item, thats just how it works.

    It sucks not pulling something you want but it makes it even better when you get it and that emotion is how live service games can last

    this is basically saying 'i want the rewards of a gacha game without the gacha part.' the whole point of titan and 7 star crystals is that they’re rare, high-stakes pulls — not a checklist that fills itself out over time. taking out the randomness removes the thrill and the progression chase. this isn’t a ‘give everyone a trophy’ fighter, it’s built on luck, planning, and adaptability. if you always want guaranteed champs, maybe mcoc isn’t the genre for you.
