Alternate ultron evade bugged?

How come this guys evade space is small he just takes a step back and slaps you before you have a chance to react and I know it is possible to get out of it but how come his evade gives less space compared to other evades? With the spideys for example you can get out of there as long as you do something to get away before he hits you after his evade
