Sinister

GroundedWisdomGroundedWisdom Member Posts: 37,709 ★★★★★
Okay, guys. Please help me out. I haven't had much experience with Sinister post-buff and I missed him the first time the 7* came around. Now that I pulled him from Raids, what should I know? Does he need the Dup? Is he straightforward or is there a cycle I need to learn? I know he's amazing, I just haven't used him much. Thanks.

Dupe is more important than people realise at max sig the benefits you get are insane sure it gets better the more fights you do but just having the stats from the 3 you always get is insane but outside of that hes still insane without the dupe

He’s good unduped but he is much better duped

Parry, hold heavy, until sp1. Repeat. Start with that, and it will deal with about 90% of matches. Dupe isn't needed, but is nice, especially for questing.

It also makes him more annoying on D, especially if he starts with 3 mystic

Awesome. For now, I'll have to use him unduped.

    Outside what eveyeone said.

Try to time your sp1 with the courlful disc icons.
You get those by charging heavy and its part of the his cycle which mostly gets done by itself.
Maybe it's a vicious passive which results in higher degen damage. Idk but I hold the sp1 if those icons are not up.

Have I read his kit? Absolutly not.
Do I use him a lot? Yes sir, I do.
Do he perform? Yes he does.

He can block unblockabale specials from eveyone,
I thought it was only skill lol. found that out last week when I blocked Necro GM sp1 by mistake.

Pretty easy, 100% noob friendly champ.

He's also reverse control immune which is also great.

I actually couldn’t figure out a counter for Sinister.

Warlock is very good against him.

I am the owner of a r3 7* Sinister unduped and I can confidently say he is worth every resource I put into him. The survivability, the damage, everything. I literally use this man everywhere. Probably avoid him in stun immune nodes. Not to mention his great capabilities as a defender too. Top 2 Mutant for sure.

    Guardian
    Jack O'lantern

    Heal block champs
    Champs that don't crit

Never thought of Guardian. Good one.

    As everyone said
Parry heavy, throw sp1. Make sure to throw sp1 only when vicious is active it increase damage by a lot.

Dupe is nice to have but he is very good unduped.

Actually he can't block unblockable specials from techs, but other classes he can.

Does sinister counter the 3 skill refelecters?
@captain_rogers im honestly thinking about giving him a chance. Just gotta know what his best matchups are first.
I know i'll have to watch some videos but would be nice to get some sinister pro to convince me he's great haha

Robots or anyone that doesn't crit can take him. Aar immunity helps, ideally you don't want to be placing dot on him either

I have used him a lot at r3 u duped and duped. His dupe isn’t super important, he’s a Nike with or without it. Just parry heavy sp1, parry heavy to pause degens, then sp1 repeat

He's great, as you know his playstyle is kinda cheesy - parry heavy while stunned. The constant bleeds allows you to heal most damage.

He is the best counter for yelena rn since in her bs mode all hits are crits and Sinister regen crits. You don't need to worry bout reversal either since he regen all damage from reversal.

He sucks against attuma but counters korg pretty well. I use him everywhere since he's super reliable.

Great info, guys. Thanks. Took him to R3. I'm looking forward to some practice.

Try him against Bullseye in practice and see the magic. Don't be afraid to take that full sp1 to the face.

    Here's the important bits.

Try not to use him against void or blade if you use the heavy charge method haha
