When Will We See Them as 7*’s?

There are obvious champs that we may never see as 7* (Quake, Herc) and some that may only be released as 7* in monetized events or as special prizes (Magik, Kitty, Wolverine, e.g.) while still others may be on hold because they could be too effective with 7* stats (Hulkling, Scorpion, Valk, e.g.).

But there’s a large-ish group of good to very good champs who aren’t game breaking but can still be effective in their current state as 7*.

For example:

Tech: Nimrod, Silver Centurion, Star-Lord
Mutant: Toad, Jubilee, Cable
Science: Cassie, Miles, Wasp, YJ
Skill: Agent Venom, Stealth Spidey
Cosmic: Champion, Thor, Ikaris
Mystic: Mephisto, Morningstar, Claire Voyant

What’s holding back releasing champs like this in a special crystal or generally?

There are other champs I’d put in too that are great in the hands of certain operators—KK being one, for example.

I just don’t think there’s a good need to slow walk champs that would be good as is in the 7* pool when we have quite a few 7* who need tune-ups badly.

Drip feeding content. 8 stars won't be a thing so they have to maximize the amount of 7 stars before they have to introduce a new "star level" mechanic

I try not to be dense, because I promise I understand that, IDK, Cosmic Ghost Rider would break the game as a 7-star. I am not trying to seem like I don’t understand that some characters would be difficult — Kate Bishop, etc.

But at some point, what are doing here? Some of these kits that are 7-stars are insane, as it is — if 7-star Nick Fury is in the game, what are we doing?

I don’t understand how some of these kits haven’t been released by now.

I don't remember them throwing a party when Archangel released as a 6*. No sale, no big hullabaloo; he just came into existence. That's what should happen with the rest of the 6* locked champs right now. Enough of the same garbage of slow release for big bucks. The game is more than ready for all of those champs with what has released over the last couple years.

Stralord, cable, agent venom, champion and Morningstar need tune ups before releasing as 7*.

Also to add to the list -
Mutant - old man logan with little tune up maybe? Wolverine no need to sell imo.
Skill - valk, no need to sell again
Science - electro as pure defender maybe, also hulk rags in current form wouldn't hurt

Then I see no reason why 7* HERCULES or Kitty or Hulkling can't come.

They're probably waiting so they can get some of those buffed.

Also I'd add Quake to the same list as Magik, Herc obviously not because this playerbase will never let that happen, but Quake is 100% possible especially considering her nerf was planned even before Magik's back when Miike talked about it.

I don't know how many times I've asked for 7* Wasp. She is such a good champ that could really benefit from the larger healthpool, and the stat focuses. I thought she would be in the 7* launch pool, but wasn't. It's very disappointing that she's not a 7* by now.

Cash flow is great at the moment for kabam - endless sales over and over.

Those mentioned champs in this thread will enter the game as jokers when cash flow becomes suboptimal. In the end it’s all about the money

We consistently release new Champions to the 7 Star pool in various ways.

There are 8 new 7 Star Champions coming in August -

Are you wanting us to just mass drop every 7 Star into the pool all at once?

Quote a simple question really. What’s stopping you from increasing the release cadence of champions not available as 7*’s?

We’re already at the rank 4 progression of 7* and there’s a lot of champions not released in the highest rarity. At the pace we’re on we’ll be moving towards 8* before the full champion pool has been released as 7*’s.

Could you please reply in another thread about whether there will be a limit on Rebirth selectors (considering that you can get 6 tokens in total, which means 2 selectors... or no)

Well, what reason could there be for them to buff every champ before 8*? If they buff every single champ in the game before 8* come out what will there be left to buff then? Sure you could argue certain 7* like DDHK and Red Hulk could receive tune ups but realistically they would run out of those very fast unless they just start releasing new mid champs every month, and yes this is thinking very far ahead into the future but it's what makes sense.
If they want to keep the game alive for years to come they have to drag this thing out as much as possible, if they buff all the champs we have left right now then 8* won't be as interesting.

8*s are most likely going to be coming eventually. It's only logical if the game is to continue. Not likely soon, but I'm sure they're coming.

That's exactly how it was with 6* though. We had a ton of 5* left behind for a long time.

Why would they release any of the champs that are left without any tune ups when most of them are completely useless and extremely outdated?
Therefore they need to be buffed first so they can actually be released, hence my question if they buff all of them before 8* then who will they buff when 8* come around?

I believe that's by design, they want to prolong the release to introduce a new Rarity later than previously.

Again, we're releasing 8 of them into the 7 Star Pool next month, I think that's quite a lot at once.
We need to have somewhere to go and things to release -

There are 300 Champions in the game now. When 6 Stars were released, there were about 150...
Of course, all of those Champions entered the highest rarity quicker than 7 Stars did because there were about half as many of them.
