Disappearing AWD

Why the heck does does our AW Defense keep disappearing sporadically. One AW is fine and another NOTHING! This is really pissing me off!

My alliance had the same issue. We just ended up putting it on auto. Defenders are placed automatically. That stopped defenders from disappearing.
