Bgs matchmaking

Can someone please tell me why the matchmaking for bgs is an absolute joke. Like here’s my deck has 4 r4’s 9r3’s a couple maxed 6*’s and some rank 2’s, why am I getting paired with people who have like literally 10 rank four the rest are rank 3’s not to mention sig 200 and mls rare very high sig and im in vibranium 4, like bro I literally just got paired with a guy who had and I kid you not 17 rank 4’s and 14 where sig 200. I just don’t understand how this is even fair like yes my deck isn’t bad but when I getting paired with people like that it’s a complete different game

I have zero rank 4 and my deck has few r3 and mostly r2 and few 6r5A and yesterday I was matched with a player having 6 r4 but I defeated that player.

So the roster doesn't always reflects skill. You should just try your best. You will lose sometime when the opponent is skilled as well but you will win too when the opponent isn't that skilled or had slip up.

Because you compete with everyone, not just with similar roster people.

You don't get to be the best with 4 r4s...

Yeah matchmaking on Victory Track can feel rough, it’s way more restrictive than GC so sometimes you run into stacked whale decks. Best bet is keep grinding with some victory shields, don’t insta-quit (crazy stuff can happen)…. Good luck.

Because you don't get matches based on how many R4s you have relative to your opponent.

You get matches based on where you currently sit in the rankings, and if the system can't find a match, it starts searching wider.

Do you understand that if matchmaking factored people's decks, then people would just manipulate their decks to get easier matches?

Why are 99% of the BG threads on this forum dumber than dirt?

Vibranium IV has been hell for me. I usually reach GC within a week to get the 10k Radiance but I've been stuck for 3 days now. Regularly meeting people with between 10 and 18 r4s. Absolutely crazy rosters. I get that it's competitive but the FOMO with the Radiance is so annoying. I have 6 r4s of my own so I can't complain but the people I fight against usually have double that. BG has become very unfun for me. Might as well not play it anymore.

my main issue this season is the sheer lack of luck I’ve had. It seems whenever an opponent picks a particular defender during draft, my counter never comes up.

They pick onalaught - bastion is no where to be found (and Jack was banned).

They pick serpent - no spiral or shatter for me.

They pick bullseye - No Jean or Negasonic.

To be clear, I don’t think there is anything nefarious going on, just annoyed at my crummy luck so far this season.

Matchmaking works perfectly for how the game mode is intended to work. It is the festering wound that is the widening gap between big spenders and undesirables that is the real problem. There's always been a gap, but never so bad that it would take years for most players to get to where the whales are now, and that gap will only be wider by the time most players get there.

Doesn't help when one of the best attackers this meta is Red Guardian and the worst defender by far if you don't have Nico is Dark Phoenix. Its fine though, they won't nerf their precious paywalled champion. They clearly didn't put any thought into her kit, just slapped some unavoidable damage and called it a day. Even release Serpent wasn't as broken as this abomination which is quite the feat. Tbh he didn't get nerfed either so...
