I duped a Statcast Relic, but it didn't awaken.

I duped a statcast relic, but instead of awakening I just have 2. Same relic, both 5 stars. Is this a bug or are we supposed to be able to have multiple of the exact same relic? If its not a bug, how do I awaken a statcast relic? Is it only with an awakening gem?

It’s very likely not the same, post a picture. Each statcast relic has 5 variations. Look at the icons on the relic. You still dupe them by pulling it multiple times, but there are a lot more relics available now.
