I don’t know which genius clown at Kabam thinks we’ll jump with joy over LAST YEAR’S reunion crystals and champs when they’re literally rotting in the basic pool already…Absolute joke of an offer, pure scam vibes.
I went through a 2 week stretch a few weeks back where every basic I opened was one of these champs.
Finally got Wags to complete the set, and a Venompool awakening which were cool, but the multiple Man Thing and P2099 dupes afterwards were a bit much.
According to lagacy even at least 1 kabam employee got scammed also.
Utter buffoonery
I was confused at first as well. I pulled a 7* nexus on the paragon nexus and got a new 7* hulk from that, so the event has been great from the 3 free crystals. Not spending units on this, of course.
I'm pretty sure they intentionally put together dogsheet offers for a few weeks to make halfway decent offers appear amazing. Like the "best offer" label on a 5000 unit offer for a 7 star basic, showing it just came down in price from 7000 units!! 8^ o
It's not a scam if you can clearly see what's included before you buy.
You are right it is not a scam for sure, Kabam would never do anything as a right out scam that would put the company in legal action.
So let see how would players see this deal as:-
It very easy to just put a quick reply that it is not a scam, and yes it is not. So what is it, as I can't think of any other reason to have this offer.
It makes the next halfway decent deal seem excellent in comparison.
That's a whole lot of conjecture about an Offer that includes a variety of things that are either exclusive or semi-exclusive. It's also not just a Basic Crystal. It's one with increased drop rates by way of less Champs. Great for someone trying to isolate one particular Champ.
The entire argument is based on the semantics of it. Anyone with reasonable common sense would check these Offers before committing their Units. It's an Offer like any. You either want what's included or not. Yet here we are every time they release one with increasing degrees of accusations and self-righteousness. No one is at the head of the table wringing their knuckles, trying to get one over people. It's an Offer. If you want some of it, buy some. If you want all of it, buy all. If you want none of it, pass on it. The reactions are not proportionate to the situation.
I mean all you have to do is click the little “i” and preview what the selector is and then you make a decision to spend the units or not. It’s really not that difficult.
Ad hominem
Scam or not, debatable.
This was not nice, complete disconnection with the player base and the event itself.
BE NICE, cause this is not it.
Not everyone reads all the time and that's ok. This is a fighting game not a reading Game. If we rate all AAA mobile games on a scale of how much dark patterns the implement in their game, Pretty sure MCOC will make it to top 5 at this point.
not even the 7* Ihulk would get me to go for this offer
If you read the message in game about the offer, it very clearly and multiple times says Reunion and not Rebirth.
This is 100% not a scam.
Now, one could very much argue this offer is in bad faith, that is is out of touch, that is a cash grab that doesn't even make sense. There are tons of negative things to say about this offer that are completely accurate.
Scam, no but super bad faith. Two similar sounding titles (rebirth vs reunion) being launched during an event with a token from rebirth. I thought about spending my units before I popped open the first of the free crystals and realized it was last year’s stuff which caused me to check.
