Serious Question EQ

With this new EQ I can see elder slider is locked, do we have to unlock it by beating the new EQ to run it again with the elder slider ?

Or we're just unlocking the elder slider now for next months EQ ?

My interpretation of the live stream was that each month we would have to do 1 run of Classic to unlock Elder, but I do not know if anyone knows for certain if that is the case.

What's puzzling is after unlocking it, then what ?

Because running the whole quest over again, is just foolish and time wasting.

is it exactly the same re: health pools, etc for both modes? I was expecting classic to be faster but it sure doesn’t seem like it

This whole set-up is stupider than fully exploring Thronebreaker EQ in order to access Paragon EQ.

Silly me, I thought they learned their lesson on that point when they created Valiant EQ.
