EQ

This is rough. Not the fights, those seem pretty straightforward and my main account is size-able enough to handle any of it. Just the need to clear classic, a complete slog, and a real shift in the casual experience. I play quite a bit and have an alt that i pushed to valiant because it was a fun run through difficult content to reach a new plateau to get a couple of benefits (which are diminishing seemingly quickly). i figured id give the new eq a try on that account so i didnt lock my prestige in my main account (weird thats the sort of workaround) and it took two hours to go through the easy difficulties first four lanes. The roster isnt developed enough to go any faster. No items used, just fights that took forever. On the easy difficulty that you must clear to access the hard difficulty that you must explore in order to get all of the lower level rank up resources i used to rank up fun champs at lower rarities and have fun on that account. This change effectively killed the alt i play when i want to take a break from my main. The alt keeps me engaged when the game gets a little stale at the top end and i dont feel like only playing battlegrounds. That element is gone and my time normally spent engaged with the game, keeping me connected, and keeping me interested is gone. I will continue playing my main because i like battlegrounds and trying out new champs but it feels like they kind of destroyed a little ecosystem I had going that I really enjoyed. I really like the idea of adaptive but they seemed to have missed the mark. At least to me anyway.
