Long time player beyond frustrated
I started playing a month or so after the game came out. I’ve seen all the craziness, 12.0, the boycotts, the constant bugs and constantly designing content to draw money out of players for revives and health or needing to buy crystals for a specific champion.
I get it, they are a company. They need to make money but at what point do you take a minute to realize you’ve been taking advantage of the players more and more since the company changed hands. The constant sales where the company EXTREMELY over values the assets they are selling but knows they’ve created a bunch of addicts who need that fix have taken away the fun of earning your way towards the top for many in your community.
The AI of the opponent has made some nodes beyond frustrating as you wait an eternity for a special to be thrown, or the opp waits out every debuff on them before they attack. On top of that, the lag and disconnects have made it more frustrating than fun recently.
On top of all that, one of the things I looked forward to the last few months was the valiant AQ. Challenging but with decent rewards and a fair amount of time and effort for the rewards. That has changed. The rewards compared to the effort needed NOW in AQ is a joke. It feels like a waste of time and has made it so if I do AQ it won’t be for fun. It’ll be because if you don’t do everything you fall way more behind everyone else than you would if your spending to R4 every 7* you have.
Compensation for another, quite long, game crash is a bandaid on a gunshot. Compensation is great but a game worth playing would be better. I’m sure there are people that love the new AQ and don’t share all of these issues, and that’s fine. We all have different experiences here but there are MANY who have been saying most of this better than me and it feels like the game is hitting quicksand…unless you swipe your card to get out.
