AW current state is so confusing…

I am really confused with current AW state.
I got from latest Kabam announcements that the season will continue and only the war rating will freeze so alliances can get higher in their rewards if wanted or just drop the ball and get last season rewards.
However, last war didn’t affect the rank so did the season end before that last war and we will take the rewards based on the higher rank between last season or current season till before last war? Or is it still going on but this is another bug??
Please clarify as we are currently plat 1 (plat 2 last season) and people are losing since they are convinced the season already ended so we need clarifications please.

You will get rewards from the freeze day (September 03, 2025) at the end of the regular season.

AW Rating freezes from that day on and rewards will be that. You can not fall down or go up in rating from there on for this season. AW continues you can fight or just leave it go. Rewards are locked in.

"This means your War Rating will remain unchanged, regardless of wins or losses.

The season will continue on as previously scheduled, a reminder that if your Alliance places lower than your previous Season 59 placement, you'll receive the difference in rewards to make up for the shortfall."

You will not get rewards based on the day of the freeze. Rewards will be based on the full season performance as normal except for alliances that perform worse than last season. Only war rating is frozen.

OP, my alliance still shows our rank. Likely just a visual bug for some. Aside from the season being a dud, it is still continuing as if everything was normal.

Exactly! This is my understanding, but as you can see many others have the same thoughts as Lordix so it is confusing and need clear message from Kabam in my opinion to close this topic and know what exactly we should be doing.

So your Alliance can rise in placement but can not fall under the freeze day no matter your war losses.

I bet when the day comes (AW rewards) that will also need reworking.

Let us be patient an wait and see. What else can we as a community do, right?

Read again and then try to understand. Yes you can fight and win but the result will be unchanged.

Therefore "freeze".

@Kabam (Osaurus) Rex please reply to this as it will mess with our season placement.

People are convinced war season is over despite we are plat 1 and last season we were plat 2 so losing will not let us get plat 1 if I understand correctly since it is not locked in from last war, is that correct?

Our alliance is playing like normal. When the freeze happened, we were locked into T1. Regardless of any wins or losses until season is over, we will start T1 next season.

What was passed along to me though, is that we're still able to accrue points through our performance so we're playing seriously (boosts and all), as apparently T1 won't ever get worse, but we can possibly get out of P2 and into P1.

It’s similar for us. In the last season we were P4. At the time the war rating froze, we were P3. In the leaderboard I can see us in two places – once in P3 with the points and at the place from the time of the war rating freeze, and then nonsensically in P2 after the last AW round.

If everything is frozen (war rating and points), why hasn’t the season officially ended? What’s the point?

The official kabam post said war rating freezes. It never says placement freezes.

War rating determines who you match against and what multiplier you get. Big dogs work hard to keep that as there is a point that a loss in Tier X is more placement points than a win in Tier Y.

At the beginning of the season everyone is technically at 0 for placement points and all is say stone or masters depending how you want to look at it. Your war rating determines your multiplier and as such how many points you get for that 1st match and then separates every allaince from there. A loss at higher multiplier is worth more points than a win at lower multiplier.

With you war rating locked it has no adverse effect for next season to lose out as you have the same multiplier as freeze day so it cannot drop. It also has no benefits for next season as it cannot raise.

So decide now if you want to gamble that people ahead of you in placement of this season are going to slack off so you climb the placement ladder for a season gain on rewards but know it does nothing for you next season.

Because points aren't frozen, only war rating.
