lots of quality champs but the answer is serpent and it’s not close

For story easily serpent, will probably save you the most recourses. 2nd option would be onslaught, but he's not as fun to play and a lot more stressful to manage

Spider Ham is also quite good for story content. Admittedly biased as he was my first R4.
