Hubris node

Can anyone smarter than myself (probably 99.5% of forum goers) dumb down the hubris node on Mr. Night in EQ?

I don't know if I'm reading it or understanding it wrong or if it's some sort of typo. Is one able to hit/attack Mr. Night in between hits of his specials?

You need a Dot champ that will do dmh while he is throwing a special + have the degen on him when he is throwing it. Then it bursts and he dies.

You need either dot or to make sure that the bane stays active on him during his specials

Onslaught works really well since he can also ignore miss from the node

Got this result with DPX, but it does require some cooperation from the defender. Held block to throw my SP1 first, made sure to time the bane transfer during, then just bait his SP1. Worked like a dream.

Basically, he only takes meaningful damage during his Special Attack animations. This means the best ways of dealing damage to him are:

#1: Any champ who inflicts Power Sting damage (Ham, Scorpion, Spider woman, Cassie Lang, etc). However, his Tranquilise ability can make this a bit harder.

#2: Gladiator doing his Burst damage thing during the opponents Specials.

#3: Any kind of DoT damage that will keep ticking during specials. Bane works here, in this particular fight.

#4: Punishing the Special (any champ) is really easy on the SP1, and allows you to get at least one decent burst of damage in, with any champ.
