Energy refills

Is there already a solution been found yet for getting energy refills? Even just doing the daily quest uses a full energy bar. If you also want to play Act 9.3 and how will that work if you want to compete in Battlegrounds? And there are so few energy refills, we'll have to spend units on energy to be competitive ?? So that means that people will less play BG’s or used all there units for refills seems a bit weird to me. Daily super event crystals are just RNG based u can also get 40 revives and 1 refill

Short answer is “no.” To clarify - “so few energy refills” = 1 per month. That’s it.

But Kabam has spoken on everything from a ban whining post to the EQ rework. But radio silence on this… so one can only assume everything you described is what they intend.

If 1 refill per month is permanent, this is an insane decision.

Things got shifted to the new daily quests which needs a good amount of energy, Battlegrounds could take 10-20 refills a month, some players use a lot more.

For players running recoil, they would need to finish EQ in one sitting, but how many refills does that take? 15-20?

Sidequests…

Are players supposed to spend 1000-1500 units a month just to be able to run basic content now???

And does the old EQ offer still exist these days for 10 refills, 10 30% green boosts etc?

I still can’t quantify the reasoning of “we are taking it away because you won’t need them with multiple levels of EQ going away…. “ with making a daily quest that drains it daily + forcing us to complete classic difficulty before elder difficulty. These two things alone flies in the face of “you won’t need them anymore” - let alone 9.3, BGs, side quests, etc

Maybe they just wanted to restrict players from farming revives in different quests —and came up with the biggest dumb solution…..

They've made so many amazing pro players moves in the last 4 years that this doesn't make any sense whatsoever, because one quick look at this shows they either forgot about the energy economy altogether (not a chance) or it's legit one of the top 5 biggest cash grabs in MCOC history and I hate using that term but it absolutely applies.

I've played this game for almost a decade and energy management is something you learn your first month. If you're using units to buy energy refills, it means you're doing something horribly wrong, so if they're telling us to mismanage our units this badly going forward, that signals what they think of players cause apparently being able to run content at more than a snail's pace was a decades-long luxury that "was never intended".

The more I think about this the more it's confusing. If they want to do a complete 180 from the last decade and force players to spend units just to run content, they should be upfront, but if they think this change is good, it could literally crush engagement.

If all you can do is run the daily quest then a small group of fights in EQ per day, what else do you do in the game? SQ? BGs? Special quests? Those cost.

If I was tasked to create less engagement, the first thing I would do is cut energy capacity. Restrict how much stuff they can do in a day and they'll show up less. It's crazy how they went this direction, I really can't believe it.

Let's charge MORE for the same show or…..REMOVE half the seats in the arena.

The best case scenario I can come up with is they want people on the $5 energy pass monthly. I don’t think a “missed the mark” scenario paints them in a better light at this stage though I would prefer that from a purely player perspective. But it would be such a huge oversight that hasn’t been addressed, it would be almost impossible to believe

I think worse is they expect you to burn your daily unit gain from the daily quests for the energy you need and claim that’s how you do it without $$… which is so far from “you won’t need it anymore with adaptive EQ” … I can’t paint it in an acceptable light. We never had to burn units gained on lower eq to complete lower eq. Who would do that?

The immediate effect for me is that I stop playing Bgs, once I get to GC. In general I found myself playing and connecting less to the game. Because if I have a certain amount of time daily to play, and I can only auto fight the new daily… then I'm almost done for the day for the solo player gaming.
