Act 9.3 in a nutshell

- Constant disabling of champ abilities such as true effects ability accuracy or nodes granting buffs but buff immunity penalizing the attacker. A whole lot others as well. A few here and there maybe but damn!
- Unstoppable, unblockable, root, mandatory to equip relics but have little control over the spirit meter while having to mind 3 other nodes simultaneously. These are all over the place.

The mandatory relics is my favorite. It brings me back to the time where Kabam was super clear that they would never require relics for content. And technically it still doesn't. You can choose between a relic or some revives, so you've got some freedom there.

But also they clearly want to require relics for content and have made a habit of that since they introduced the dumb 90% power reduction node as well as Cerestes. Won't be much longer until we get a node that reduces damage by 100% unless a relic is equipped.

You know when you eat the same food daily you tend to lose appreciation and taste for it no matter how much you love that dish.

9.3 is not about defenders and their defensive prowess but more so how you play around nodes.

The dupe bug with relics is just visual. I've been tracking it every time I open one.

More content that proves why certain champs (the simple ones) are far superior to those with tight or complicated damage loops. Those types of champs are by default much more difficult to play in short form (or take too long) and when it comes to story and such…. The node timers and gimps make them unusable as well. Every YouTuber gets excited about beating up ROL, but practically you can never use several champs as intended.

This right here. One of the paths was perfect for Dazzler, on paper at least, but one of the nodes made her a bad choice.

I think it had to do with the attacker gaining some detrimental charge every 3 seconds they are near the defender. Try doing Dazzler's sp1 with that node lingering. Champs that don't require rotations have found more uses.

I call this the Gorr effect, he was one of the original champs people used to hype up, yet he slowly fizzled out of people's roster when they realized how unpractical he is

This is also why alot of times I'm hesitant on old champs buffs. Sometimes you need an OG with a super simple kit to fly through a path. For example, gamora absolutely slayed a few paths in 9.3. Once those champs like say...rhulk are buffed with a new kit, they become ineffective like the new champs do.

I'm just so disappointed with 9.3. Story content is my favourite part of the game but none of those was fun, the scourge stuff sucked, the nodes disabling fun champs is never good. Mandatory relics is hypocritical and sucks. And worse still, dread emporer doom is a boring slog of a fight with too many unfair instant ko and power gain moves.

Thats 100% fair, I wish we stopped focusing on the advadement in complications and more in using what we already have. I blame BGs for a lot of that tbh

I don't have anything to complain about new story in general.

Maybe just one: Reding 20 complicated nodes takes efforts and time, but it is what it is.

-Rewards are worth the effort. (Can't hurt with more sigs, r3 gem or ag shards)

-Absolutly no cash grab act 6 type of nodes.

-Great bosses, this is definilty the biggest win.

-Complicated texts but strightforward paths at the same time.

-Plenty of the single fights requiring skill and planning, But not whole paths. Just some fights needing more than braind dead swipes.

-3 paths per quest, this is still a W for majority of the players.

Make story hard and the community will climb the whine trian. We have wof and EOP type of content for that.

It's too damn easy as is. My neigbours dog is done with 9.3.

I explored old act 6 twice in two old accounts. I know how much efforts it took, how much planning, the rankups purly focussed on story, the boosts, the revives etc. So, I want story to be much much harder, with rewards balanced (upwards) with respect to the difficulty. But that opinion doesnt sit well with the current state of the community. Because:

The game is not about story anymore, story has become more of a one and done thing.

It's rare anyone remembers anything in act 7+ about a path or a node or fight (excpet the bosses ofcourse). Ask the same question about act 5 and 6, people still remember the horrors, the paths and the dreaded fights.

Of all the issues in the game, Story content doesn't deserve this negative feedback. It's fine where it is.

i dunno how the situation is in 9.3 since im still on 6.4. waiting for act 6 reward buff but damn, seems like act 9 is pretty messed up, everyone kept saying the later acts are easy, ig act 9 is an exception ?

The more disappointing part is the continued repeat of the same node throughout 9.3. Some have a little tweak but still quite the same for the most part. I enjoyed most of the scourge paths but some weren't for me and I realize that I need to get better in that regard.

The spamming of all these other nodes though.

9.3 was fun. Nice new addition to the story and rewarding for the effort. Doom boss was also fun. No boosts or potions needed. All you have to do is learn the mechanics of the fight and go. Good job to the team.

So much disappointment these last 30ish days. 9.3 was not enjoyable like 9.1 and 9.2 were for me, and 9.3.6 boss fight is a hot mess. dexing to the back of the map and still not able to bait out a sp, just slowly builds to sp3 and boom another revive, nothing i can do except hit block a couple times and then eat it. then the black screen bug taking another revive on top of all the power gain revives, was not thrilled with all the unavoidable deaths.

You will miss more rewards sitting and waiting for that than you would earn moving forward. You can save the exploration, sure, but the rewards buff will not be worth waiting an indefinite amount of time and what you will get actually progressing through the game will ultimately be worth more.
