Help Me...Help You
Look, I completely understand that Kabam is a business. They are not developing new content as a public service, and that if they stop making money our beloved game goes away. However, I am honestly confused about their recent development plan. I am a low to moderate spender (sigil, double track, unit deals, etc). I would think that I represent a big portion of players. If you take the moderate amount that I spend and multiple it by several thousand engaged players that really adds up. Everyone focuses on the whales, but there are not a enough whales to completely support the game. I am much more willing to spend money, buy offers, buy units WHEN I AM HAVING FUN. I feel that over the past year or so Kabam has developed a parent/toddler relationship with the players. You need to eat your broccoli and go to bed early because we know better and its good for you. In business if you serve your customers well, you will make money. Why do they continue to make moves that the players do not want? The game is so complex already I am sure you have heard "it feels like a second job" from a lot of people. People will grind the game when it is fun and they are working towards something. Kabam, please redirect your focus on player friendly decisions. Not every side quest, event quest needs to be overly difficult. Instead of restricting our energy, give us more, encourage us to use your product. If you make the game more player friendly, if you make the game MORE FUN, people will give you their money. Just as you do not owe us anything, we do not owe you our hard earned money. If you expect us to pay you for digital content that we do not own, then you need to provide us with a FUN, engaging product.
