Kabam Just doesn't get it.

Kabam obviously has no idea what their players want and like in this game. New changes to the EQ is still trash, I now have to go back and do Normal mode again before I go through the BS Elder mode? No thank you. It's nice that they changed back the energy refills, but man there is just too much going on in such a short time to get this bad taste out of my mouth. I've been playing this game for 8+ years over multiple accounts, trying to be as free to play as possible and this is by far the worst state I've seen this game in since 12.0 update.

Who is running things for Kabam now?!?! A Chimp? Figure it out guys smh.

They were clear that they weren't going to be able to change the need to go through classic with the quick fix. I imagine it is something that will change moving forward. At least they were able to make a quick change to the overall difficulty of the content without making us wait for the next round.
