Similar thoughts here. I used to enjoy the monthly EQ, SQ and story mode up to act 8.
Act 9 is boring and now I don't even feel like doing EQ anymore.
They really should go back and take a look at what made the game great in the first place.
Yes, A.I. recovery and reaction times are much faster than what player can do in the game.
Same. Loved the monthly stories, and playing new champs in lower EQs to test them out. That was my favorite part. They’ve changed it again, and it’s not fun anymore. Same with all the other changes, those poker and Doombot things sucked, and the UI is still a mess. Not to mention all the continuous bugs, crashes, and server issues. There’s a reason there’s been so much of a backlash. Hoping they fix things next month, though their “significant” fix wasn’t, and that Banquet is worth it this time, otherwise this may be it for me too… ☹️
I've got nothing much to play. Can't do EQ. The daily quests are nice but don't take long. I really hope they change it all back. Adaptive EQ could be a bonus side quest. The next livestream should be interesting!
@Solvseus The Doombot thing was weird, but the rewards were great. However, a glitch almost stopped me from getting the final reward (Titan crystal). The poker thing was baffling. It was okay, but why not tie it in with the game more - instead of the random colours (orange, indigo etc), they could have used the characters' colours (red for skill etc).
I’m in the minority but I actually quite enjoyed the last 3 side quests. The 52 free 2 star champions was probably the pick. All 3 were complete levellers i.e. no one had any great advantage. I think kabam needs to understand that some of the player base don’t strive to be the best or to have the best. We just want to have fun.
agree it’s not skill or difficulty issue it is literally just that fights are too long. I used to just jump on quickly and either auto burn my energy or run a lower level quest on autoplay in the background. And if I wanted to do a couple of fights you could take a ten minute break and do three or four fights. Now these fights are ten minutes each?
I certainly prefer them to this current 'boss rush' SQ with the same type of overturned champs that we saw in the EQ
Honestly had the same thought as I played the SQ today. Seems like the same person who did WoF did this and probably the pre-nerf EQ. They really need to think through their calibration of SQ vs EQ vs. event/end game content. They seem to be trying to turn every fight into a WoF level fight and that’s really not a good direction. Hoping for some major corrections in October. August and September have not been good months.
its the simple things. We understand the game need some level of difficulty but there's too many complicated nodes at once with bugs and bad rewards. You can understand side stuff not being quite right on occasion. But when the fundamental parts of the game are not right, too time consuming and difficult itsno longer fun
On reflection, I believe adaptive difficulty was in response to a lot of feedback for a long time that players wanted Valiant version of EQ. However I thought Valiant Gauntlet we had tested was a much more enjoyable way to bridge. Last week’s SQ level 5 was way too tough so once I decided to opt for level 4 it felt more like regular SQ and more fun
I couldn't agree more. I enjoyed playing this game until they completely ruined Monthly EQ. As I've said many times before, if they don't put it back to the way it was, I will probably leave after Banquet.

Yes it is, but for a large group of players the game is no longer fun. It sure doesn't look like they are going to fix it so expect a bunch of people to leave.
I agree. Perhaps the drop in revenue of the last couple of years is a sign of others agreeing as well.
I personally like the new EQ style it’s simple (and removing like 5 fights per quest will be great )
But the classic difficulty requirement to get to elder is just bad. Also they can reduce the difficulty for lower tier players so they can play it
And reintroduced a buffed version of paragon gauntlet without any entry requirements… so we can practice boss fights before entering elder difficulty.
I agree wholeheartedly, the game is no longer fun for me either.
But I have to keep playing it, which sucks.
Hopefully enough other people quit so the game dies which would make me happy and I wouldn't have to play anymore.
I think a major point for me - that I do not read so often and can be very personnal - is those nodes that became sooo hard that it make no sense anymore. Just let me fight one-on-one against powerfull opponent and I will fight with fun again. You level up champs immune to everything - need to play them more than the marvel heros you really like - and even if you do that - you will get caught by a degen node that activate after 5 sec untouch while the opponent have evade and stun immune… what… is… that ? I have no fun anymore to use tons of revives and potions like that. The fact is… I'm not skilled enough now to face all those nodes. Get back to the essence of a fighting game Kabam - because I really want that game to last - but not in this state, Fair combat system - different level entry with scale rewards. Let's just have fun! And - I still think this game is the best visually, conception, design and animation. It's a game to celebrate our passion for those heroes and haing a fun and relax time using them all. Don't ruin it all!
it’s frustrating because I feel Kabam could pump out some good content if they started prioritising the right things in the game.
Instead we’ve had stupid poker and doom bot game modes, a ton of sales, and a terribly designed new EQ, just when EQ was starting to see some improvement.
I still have fun, but I’d like to see Kabam prioritise enjoyment and engagement over sales and restriction. I will say though, people actively saying they want the game to ‘die’ seems wild to me.

yeah,..they really messed up EQ.
I thought when Rex said they would adjust it mid month, it would be more pro player (casual),.,and more realistic and not so boring and drawn out,..but no. they like to say the listen, but i believe they view the game , what it should be,.,and how it should be played , through their own eyes.
They seem to be inept in the fun department,.,there would be many ways to make this game MUCH more enjoyable and it’s easy to see the possibilities.
They seem to think reading countless nodes with annoying interactions in a monthly quest that now takes double the time it did before to explore,..with a weird underwhelming rewards layout is “fun”,….guess they know what’s best for all of us 👍.

It’s not fun because it’s very long drawn out, annoying,..and most importantly VERY BORING,.,and there’s a whole boat load of people who seem to view it this way,..myself included.
I did the 100%,.,and it is very different from the 1st rendition which was at the very least (somewhat enjoyable and fun),.,this latest version is not that at all,…imo.

I will add from my experience giving this EQ a chance , that I couldn’t tolerate doing more that one run and boss a day,..considering it took me an hour …with boosts lol.
And it just seemed very lacklustre,..including the micro doses and delivery method of rewards,..i would be fine not doing this every month and sacrifice the rewards for the simple fact i find it very much unenjoyable.
Just my take anyway.
For me the biggest problem of the game now (outside of that last year it obviously made a serious turn to be more p2w) is the change from "play as you like" (you had a whole month to complete those easy EQ quests so you could easily dont play a few days and do not miss much, and after use your energy stash to close a certain difficulty in one run while watching a movie on weekend) to "you have to play every day or you ll lose tons of valuable resources" (and doing the same four Daily Quests each and every day is really boring, I was hardly standing doing a single Apothecary before). I ve also always thought that the "Autocomplete" button is a QoL feature most games try to add at some point if they didnt have it before. MCoC is the first game I know now that actually has removed one.
