They don't have forum managers, they got people who took the roles of mods to replace the community managers we used to have.
Combination of a couple things going on here. First thing i the changes to the forums that got pushed out from our forum provider have made us less visible in threads and on the category pages (though Ive been working with them on a fix for this so hopefully will see the return of the colorful icons and orange text soon). The other thing though is things have been incredibly busy, on top of the normal busy-ness this time of year already brings. Rex especially has still been present in all kinds of threads, but because of the previously stated issue thats harder to spot.
This is not a personal attack towards anybody in particular. The presence has been pretty selective on topics.
No one has chimed in on why Sassy is still bugged on every raid and why it has to be patched after it starts. And of course nothing about it being bugged over and over and sending some revives....
I see that @KabamPinwheel it is definitely more difficult to see your guys interaction without the colour coding
But that being said, @BringPopcorn has a point, I haven't seen Rex posting but it seems he isn't responding to the more pressing issues like the Sassy bug, ai still going crazy, complaints around strikers etc not of these are being addressed by anyone
And more this Spiderwoman issue, there are tonnes of players unhappy and zero response; should you guys be prepared to repsond after such an announcement?
Maybe there needs to be a bit more responding to the real issues, rather than maybe the less important stuff
They don't care,
2 of them explicitly said it on discord that forums is **** and forums hurt their feelings.
Forums would go away if Kabam had their way is my guess. They don't want the feedback here as they rarely have listened to the feedback for years.
Yes, sometimes a few will comment, but it's become more sparse.
If you think Discord is better, no. It's an echo chamber that typically does not listen or address anything. They simply post Announcements there that people find out about and come to forums to protest how absurd the changes continue to be.
Kabam only seems to want money and how they can squeeze it out of the most players.
Unfortunately, they seem to forget this is a GAME made for ENTERTAINMENT and escape of the real world. It's way more a chore and not convenient to many casual players now.
I also don't like when they always act like they are doing these badly taken (by the vast majority of the MCOC Community and Player Base) changes are for our own good or the good of the future of the game… It's gaslighting. There won't be a future after all the mess of 2025 Kabam and more specifically September 2025… And it's not over yet.
You can be profitable and make money without pissing off your player base. You can make MORE money when you are PRO-PLAYER but Kabam seems to refuse to grasp this fact.
I hope that Kabam Leadership makes things right but I won't hold my breath. 100% if this change sticks with Spider-Woman, I'm done come January 2026; I have had enough of what can only be described as a Toxic Relationship now.
Spider-Woman nerf (yes it's a NERF offensively though the communication tried to claim the opposite) is not the sole reason people are upset, but it's another straw that broke the camel's back after all the problems, issues and bad decision making from this company.
they re around because one of my posts got deleted last night
@KabamPinwheel legit question. Not a criticism, not a comment, just a hopefully easy question.
We've got you, Dork and Mike as the community team. Three guys where we used to really have mainly two. At this point, we understand clearly that Dave's job description doesn't involve much, if any, time interacting with the community. Got it. So that now leaves you and Mike. Perfectly good team to take on the task.
The trend that we have been experiencing since you all started is that when things are going bad, you all seem to disappear. And we can even go, often, and look at when you each last logged on and see that it's not a matter of not commenting, but also a matter of just not being here. And yes, there is more than just the forums to manage. So the question is, particularly when things go bad, where do you guys go? Why does trouble more often than not pull you guys away from the community rather than towards it?
Yes, you're gathering feedback, but sometimes none of you are here until hours later. Raids launch bugged and we get radio silence. New EQ days comes around, usually bugged, and you guys don't login to the forums almost at all.
The discord is well staffed with mods, but the guardians that once helped staff the forums have pretty much disappeared or have even abandoned the forums, saying they don't like to be here. So as a result, particularly in the more significant moments, no one is here. Why? What pulls the community team away from this part of the community? And that's not to say you guys are never here, because you are here a decent amount, and yes, you are more difficult to find, but it just feels like you guys why away when things are tough. Some insight into that would be helpful for all of us.
I am going to take a guess at this because they can’t say it if it is true....
They don’t think these decisions are defensible and their managers give them an out by allowing them to ghost the forums instead of trying to put lipstick on a pig. Anyone who has had a job for any amount of time knows there are directions taken by your boss or the company at large that you don’t agree with. Depending on your roll, you are relaying to a vendor or a customer a message that you personally don’t agree with. I think that’s a lot of what is going on….
At some point - when that stops being a rare occurrence… you are just going to become completely apathetic because you can’t affect it either way (and it’s still a paycheck). Or you start updating your resume if you see that whole ship on a course that can’t be corrected.
basically saying ‘we’re too busy to communicate or engage with you properly’.
That’s poor.

that’s poor.
I think that the absence of forum guardians is ironic because they were allowed to join the CCP based on their interactions within the forum. I know that this current view of the format makes it difficult to view interaction, but I believe that there are forum guardians that have acknowledged that they do not actively participate within the forums.
You are right 100%; but as much as I enjoy being sarcastic and throwing a random jab I can't blame them at all in the personal level. Obviously there is a severe lack of communication between the CM and whetever upper management is too. How can you explain that Mike posted a pretty cutthroat message about the energy refill issue over the weekend and then all of the sudden a few days later (I believe it was monday) a new cozy nice post with new changes happened? If my choice are between believing they worked all weekend and debated over the energy issue or they came out with an emergency decision due to discomtent and that weekend post was not supposed to happen, I think I would pick the second one.
And I don't wanna even talk about Dave and us losing a CM to the Live summoner fest event... They are putting put fires everywhere as they claimes; but hey lets have a live event for a few people and make it a priority...rofl
Guardians probably got fed up with the game too and decided helping on the forums over all this **** changes and issues was not worth their time. Its not like they were getting paid to deal with it.
Bruh
They checked the monthly leaderboard and knew that the forum addicts were going crazy. Can't blame them for not wanting to moderate something nobody below the age of 40 uses. My Lord and Savior dragonfei wouldn't let these bozos slide 🙏
Who?
Because people over the age of 40 playing super hero games are definitely more mature…
Guess it wasn't an easy question after all. Shoot.
It was a good question, hopefully we get an answer. I think we deserve one
