Mr. Sinister

October 17 2024 - NTW and Silver Sable rebalance announcement. Sinister is mentioned in the rebalance notes. It's identified that his signature ability isn't working properly and has never been working properly - that review will be conducted and we should get an update by Q1 of 2025.

December 19 2024 - Patriot and Leader rebalance announcement - also change to the rebalance program announced. We're also told to expect news on Sable, Arcade and Northstar (the latter two were mentioned in November) to be released with the January patch notes. Absolutely no mention of Sinister.

January 6 2025 - Sable / Northstar / Arcade changes go live. Hot Fix notes out. Absolutely no mention of Mr. Sinister.

September 24 2025 - Today. Rebalance announcement for Spider-Woman and Lumatrix.

We're approaching Q4 of 2025 and we were supposed to get an update back in Q1. It's almost been eleven months now and there's still no official communication about Mr. Sinister.

Can we please get some kind of official update. It would be appreciated.

I think that's a little disingenuous TBH. Kabam has left in Pro-Player bugs, one of the most prominent I can think of semi-recently is actually Patriot. He was always gaining Steadfast, even against Mutants and it was specifically called out in his kit that he wouldn't gain it against Mutants. It was never removed and when he was rebalanced they actually kept it in and even changed his description so the mutant exclusion wasn't there.

I'm not intending to get into all of those though, I'm being genuine here.

Being completely honest Mr. Sinister is still absolutely insane, but the science aspect of his Signature ability isn't working, has never worked, but also still takes up cap limit. His random passives will situationally double. Yeah, he's still good. He's great.

But again, were told to expect an update on Sinister in Q1 of 2025 and haven't heard anything since - not even: "The batch program means we'll have to push this a little later than we'd have liked" now while I would have grumbled because Sinister was commented alongside Silver Sable and supposed to be done prior to the new batch program (Patriot was the first. … I have my own thoughts and comments about that but another topic completely) - at least that's additional communication. Which is better than literally nothing since November of 2024.

I never said they’re handled the same way I just said we shouldn’t pretend that Kabam never makes pro player changes or leaves things in that benefit us.

Irrelevant to the point though - Sinister is broken and we were supposed to get an update months ago about him, there’s been radio silence. His signature ability is not working properly and one of the “benefits” doesn’t even do anything.

Can we please get an update on this Kabam?
