#JUSTICE4JESSICADREW — Kabam, Do Good or Do Nothing

The title says it all, Kabam. Spider-Woman's Deep Dive video literally showcased Ensnare. You knew it, tested it, showcased it - and shipped her anyway. Now the so-called "Balance Team" acts like Area 51, hiding behind closed doors and classified files.

And then they trot out this gem: "While removing Ensnare will obviously have some effect on her Attacker power as well, we haven't seen Spider-Woman need a solution to Evade across her matchup spread… Overall, we believe this is an important update in our ongoing efforts to prevent too many strong Defenders from being introduced too quickly across the game."

Oh, give me a break, Kabam. Stop pretending this is about "too many strong defenders." Did we ask for "too many strong defenders"? It's about gutting Spider-Woman, period. And the whole "3.5 out of 5 menace" sermon? Please. Those Champion Attribute ratings are comedy material - go look at Champion Attribute of The Destroyer or Spider-Man Supreme and try not to laugh.

And let's talk about hypocrisy, Kabam: you ignored "balancing" Serpent and Enchantress when the entire player base was screaming they were busted defenders. Dark Phoenix too. Why? Because you'd rather pump out shiny new champs to sell as "solutions"? That's not balance - that's business.

So what's the Balance Team really balancing, Kabam? Sure doesn't look like champs. Looks a lot more like they're balancing the books. And until you get real about transparency, don't be shocked when players stop throwing cash, units, and sig stones at new champs. Why invest in anything new (watch out Carolina Dean and Nico Minoru) when six months later it can be nerfed into a paperweight (yes, we haven't forgotten Update 12.0).

This is what Kabam needs to read cause don't advertising something like Ensnare that Spiderwoman have and nerf it because you data shows she doesn't need it. If she benefit enough from it, why even care to remove it. Make it for offense only and remove it for defense if you deem it too OP on defense. Stop making the player based angry for nothing. If like Kabam said they it's not even being used and it's not necessary, why even bother removing it from her offensive usage. This makes no sense to me.

This is a powersting champion, there simply isnt a need to have ensnare. Spider-ham doesnt have anti-evade in his kit, and nobody was complaining. Your so called "justice…" is only to counter bullseye (a champion she isnt even designed to fight) in BGs.

Balancing is not bug fixing. they would not have released the champion if it wasn't intended to at first place. Balancing is what "Kabam expected" champions to be used, and performed and adjusting based on that after new release.

You do realize there is a whole game outside of BGs?

It doesn't matter whether or not she is good for Bullseye or not in BGs, what matters is that she was specifically marketed as being able to be used against Bullseye (in whatever game mode you want).

And to your other point, did Kabam at any point put out an official video showing Spider-Ham versus an evade champion? No? If not, then you are just trying to move the goalposts.

Didnt know that means im an expert. But since when did we all become so delusional when a champion who takes 99.45% less damage from powerstings, should lose to a power sting champion. Evidently there isnt a place for the debuff to even be in her kit.

You do realize that Spiderwoman has Severe debuffs (which counters Skill) as well as ton of Buffs (which Mystics can take advantage of)?

So maybe don't try to use the "Class Wheel" defense to try to justify why she should lose to a Skill champion.

Im sure you already know that by nullifying a buff you are inflicted with shocks / power stings. And even if you dont nullify them, there are very few mystics who can even take advantage of her fury buffs. This makes logical sense because the champion is a science champion fighting mystic champions (which tend to nullify more than other classes). Just because spider-woman has severe debuffs, doesnt mean she is designed to counter the skill class. Funny how in the deepdive the only skill champ shown was bullseye. She clearly wasnt JUST marketed as a bullseye counter.

You're fine with America Chavez and Kushala > Spiderwoman (running afoul of your Class Wheel dogma) because "there are very few mystics who can even take advantage of her fury buffs", and yet take issue with Spiderwoman > Bullseye (with you citing the Class Wheel) even though there are very few Skill champions where she can take advantage of her ensnare?

I'm not saying she is designed to be a Skill class counter. I am pointing out that she has a number of abilities that conflict with the Class Wheel format, which is proof that the Class Wheel is not as sacrosanct as you say it is. You seem to haphazardly use the Class Wheel to justify that Spiderwoman shouldn't be able to take Bullseye, when Kabam itself designs its champions with abilities that can bypass the Class Wheel..

YES i am completely happy with those mystics countering her kit. This is because they were designed months / years before the release of spiderwoman. Whereas spiderwoman was made after bullseye, and seems to be directly designed to specifically to counter enchantress (even though she has no evade). The class wheel should be used as a guideline when designing champs kits, as it has been for nearly 10 years. Fact is that ensnare will benefit SW more in skill class matchups, as opposed to mystic (which the deep dive clearly defines is her ideal matchup). Completely reasonable for kabam to remove the mechanic.
