As alliance leader, I can't get my members to play, they are all valiants

They don't want to play Nightmare Raids, AW, AQ, battlegrounds
Maybe they find the rewards too unrewarding?
Alliance related activities are literally dead with so many players opting out of playing

Battlegrounds is so much quiet and slow moving, so many valiants are still in VT taking it slow

Kicking non playing members doesn't work bcos new members are just the same, they also don't want to play

Is the game half dead already, it is very obvious this month when EQ is changed

Some also don't want to communicate with the alliance, they rather quit the alliance and join another alliance without any communication

What's the value of an alliance if every member doesn't want to play

Can the game continue on at this rate?

Kabam has proven over and over and over that they do not care about the player experience from SW to EQ. Since the SW annoucement they have gone completely silent to add insult to injury. 9 million account here and I play as little as possible because its not fun anymore, the game team has sucked almost all the joy out of this game in the past year.

I’m not saying there isn’t game wide demoralization among the player base, but this sounds like a leadership/officer issue.

If leadership is excited about the game and wants to push modes but the members don’t then officers aren’t kicking enough players and recruiting the right ones.

I’ve played in organized and competitive teams for many years. If a player stops running content like AQ because they don’t like it, they get replaced almost immediately. I’m not talking about needing to take a vacation and asking if the team can run a lower map for a week or so, Im talking if a player refuses to clear AQ on time.

The machine has to keep spinning and anyone who throws a monkey wrench into the system or gets others to join them against leadership gets replaced. It’s leaderships responsibility to look out for these types of players in the screening process and most times they do.

Losing interest in content isn’t always malicious, sometimes players can’t keep up with content anymore because of life stuff or just a genuine loss of interest and most players either back out themselves or after months of decline or poor war performance get asked about it by leadership and if it continues they get replaced.

Leadership isn’t always cutthroat, they try and gauge alliance interest if something unexpected comes up like a very difficult war global (crush 2.0, xmagica season 1) and change plans if needed.

In general, if you can’t get your guys to do stuff anymore you’re not doing your job correctly.

I asked all my members and everyone tells me the same thing, they feel that the game isn't fun anyone

There's only so much alliance leader can do, alliance leader cannot make the game more fun, that's the job of the game team

i have spenders in my alliance and they tell me they lost interest in the game

This is very worrying sign from players who are valiants with ratings from 2 million to 9 million

I run a casual alliance for valiants with very minimal expectations and even so the members have stopped playing suddenly during the month when EQ changed

All the good rewards locked behind elder difficulty could be 1 reason

And that right there is probably the main issue, or at least the root cause of waning interest. Unless you're performing at a high/higher level, T3+ AW, top 200 AQ, and at the top of BGs (which is least motivating as far as alliance performance goes), the rewards are barely worth the effort. And then you do the math and there is very little spending needed to make up for the hours invested into those things, you realize that it isn't worth the effort. The rewards for 90% or more of players aren't worth the time. And maybe Kabam knows that and they do it to push spending.

The rewards have been an issue for a long time. Now add that the game team seems clueless, the community team is increasingly distant, the sales team is hopped up on something questionable and the art team is left carrying the load as the only well functioning team. You've begrudgingly helped your alliance even though you don't like the content, and now the game is in such a sharp decline in quality from nearly every direction that you are no longer disappointed by what you get for your effort, but frustrated.

The alliance leader still sets the tone to some extent. If you have an expectation for what you're alliance is going to do, and those players that join agree to that, then you hold them accountable to that. Better to have an empty slot than a slot filled by someone that only frustrates you because they don't do anything. Of course, now recruiting is harder because alliance content is only decreasing in value, so you're stuck between a rock and a hard place.

But yes, the decisions that Kabam has been making and their constant failure to turn things around back towards a great game is causing once heavily invested players to turn away. In a game of hundreds of thousands of players, only a couple thousand really have a reason to play when it comes to alliance content while everyone else is waiting for Kabam to give them something that tells them why they should play. Unfortunately they've put themselves to a point where they need to do more than just making alliance content meaningful for more pl

What tier war are you playing? What aq "requirements" are there? How casual are the requirements.

Bg is just do whatever these days in most alliances... half my alliance is over 300k the other half is down low... it doesnt matter.

Im quiet happy with the eq changes. Run it once and you are left with plenty free time everyday for the rest of the month. Autoplay twice a day and it's done. What's not to like.

That's the issue. You're asking and not telling. A leader doesnt ask. If you want your members to do certain things you tell them that's what you're doing.

If you ask me if i want to do aq or aw of course im going to say no. But if you tell me that's what we're doing and tell me where to go and when it's happening I'll do it

@JESUSCHRIST Your not wrong dude, everything feels so draining. You only ever fight the same toxic champions over and over again and whatever champions you have on your roster to deal with them, now feel like their just days away from a nerf. As for alliance based activities, unless you are playing at reasonably high levels, which again, there still the same defenders but instead of random placements, they are strategically placed for maximum annoyance its just not worth the time. Take war for instance, why would I want to feel like I'm letting my alliance down by messing up on a fight and be pressured to buy revives to get through it for some Tier 4 alpha fragments or some 6 star shards.

To be honest, the game is really just not that fun anymore (aside from story content, which I think those bosses are home-runs and some of their Everest content is great). I don't think its just you, I don't think its just me, I think the game has been getting more and more unenjoyable but the SW thing just injected metaphorical adrenaline into the community, and it feels like we were awoken from a trance. I hope it gets better though. I personally have stopped spending since SW (I spend about 3-5k a year) and will permanently stop spending and probably quit if Nico or Karolina get nerfed (I've spent hundreds on them), but we'll see I guess. Closing remarks, I am Valiant and have a 7.2 mil rating and honestly I have zero interest in alliance content or line chat or anything to do with expectations of any kind with this game now, so, your not wrong dude and I don't think your a bad leader, I just think we are playing a very poorly managed game (hopefully just at this moment).

This is correct yet many alliances are still functioning just fine despite what the members want to do due to leadership. It's a two way street but if you arent managing your alliance, nothing will get done

Outdated rewards, modes that feel like a chore, and disgust with the current state of the game create a perfect storm. Most people are trying to figure out wether they want to keep playing or not, being acrive and engaged in all modes is a bit far fetched at this point. Good thing is that they are always looking at the data, so they should be aware of this.

Of course the monkey who is not in an alliance would come in and have an opinion about things that he doesn't even understand...

Fact of the matter is if you want to push more in these modes for the rewards you either have to tell your alliance "this is what's going on moving forward" and find members who will contribute, or give the alliance to somebody else and join another one that fits your own goals.

on the alliance you need 30 people on board to do exactly the same thing pretty much.

If anyone doesn’t want to, that’s 100% ok. But they just need to find an alliance that does what they want.

It sounds like you’ve kind of left it too late and been too relaxed at allowing people to essentially not do alliance required content, and have now got a totally different alliance than you intended. Which isn’t bad at all. It sounds like you’ve got 29 semi retired people just chilling.

But if you want to have the alliance the way you want it then you have to either

1) remove 29 people and start recruiting.

2) remove one person (yourself) and look for a new alliance

the alliance you thought you had, doesn’t exist any more, as you allowed it to evolve into something else. In future, if you want an alliance to remain active the way you want it to be, then you need to replace people as soon as they decide not to complete alliance requested content.

so if you want the to do Aq aw bg raids …all fine. If someone refuse..fine…but go find another alliance..very simple, and not at all in an unkind way. Just a very matter of fact way..your outlook no longer matches with the alliance.

EQ is not where it needs to be. It's still too overtuned. No one wants that amount of stress for an EQ, whether it's once a month or not.
