yeah agreed, but when have Kabam ever taken criticism well? Obviously burnt some bridges with people who can’t see how they’re destroying the game.

Seems like he’s been at odds with certain personalities within Kabam for a while. It’s a shame Kabam has such a defensive and seemingly immature culture that they can’t handle criticism. A savvier, more secure group would’ve had the confidence to engage with Vega directly and build credibility in a public / visible way.

Eh you can look at it that way, or you can look at it as if someone from the company told him that he had a place of privilege being in the CCP and needs to stop uploading negative content. Based on the fact that he won't be attending the live event you can assume something pissed him off.

sucks. I hope he continues to make content. He was overly kind when it came to champs, but also seemed fair when it came to content and game issues.

Doesn't really seem that way to me since he says at the beginning of his video that he'd be willing to go work for Kabam and fix the game himself since he knows what the issues are based on the feedback he sees in his community and others as well.

It definitely feels somewhat personal at certain points tho lol and for that I applaud him because I am sick of hearing people say "DLL said this DLL said that". This is the same person who said pre buff Gladiator was perfectly fine and performing as intended, he has of course made some other egregious comments about balance on his livestreams and then goes ahead and designs Nico 😂 anyways yeah can't expect game to be properly balanced when we have people like that doing all the balancing so props to Vega for finally speaking up, would be nice if the rest of the CCP followed. We know Lagacy and MSD are out of the equation since they're professional Kabam glazers but the rest are usually pretty neutral on these issues.

Kabam really need to just take DLLs YouTube channel away at tje very least. He's singlehandedly done more damage to the game than Hercules ever dreams he could.

The only negative comment I have about his video is he did something that we don't like Kabam doing, Having the right ideas/intentions but wrong execution. Part of his delivery came off as he is the savior of MCOC and can do the job better than anyone at Kabam who works in that industry. No company out there no matter how nice they are would like that. That's probably the only thing that would have taken away from a lot of valid points he was giving and made some people at Kabam take it the wrong way.

The whole "boycott & we're so back" fiasco, not to mention him leaving the CCP a few times prior has me a bit skeptical of Vega. No shade to him, if he's at a breaking point & speaking out, good for him. I'm just not sold on his commitment. I'm currently re-watching his video & y'all are definitely right. Some of his points do seem personal. As for my opinion on him leaving at his own will or being removed, to me, it seems as a resignation by request. Lastly, while I disagree with DLL's takes, more often than not, there's nothing good comes from speculating on one person's input. Just leads to a witch hunt. See Fintech & Karate Mike's Carina's challenges...

So essentially say don't listen to your customers concern, don't listen to your customers when they tell you ar mistreating them, don't listen to your customer when they tellijg you they don'tl like your product anymore and will stop spending. That right just stick to what the company plan even if it is wrong.

Also said that Kabam think that Spider Woman is too strong offensive, hence why she need the nerf, pretty much saying that Kabam lied on their announcement.

That's pretty dumb to say. Agree or disagree with DLL, or think disparaging thoughts about him or not, I appreciate having a somewhat unfiltered glimpse into Kabam design decisions.

So even if they do something I dislike or disagree with, I don't have to sit and wonder why. I can know why they did it at least (which most of the time they don't explain).

He's a glazer in denial lol and yes I am talking specifically about the spending on every single sale then saying the sale was actually bad. Keeps complaining about the state of the game and is the first to drop a thousand on a sale and make a video about it, mostly saying negative things but only after he gave them exactly what they wanted of course.

That is the main reason I'm not as skeptical personally and I think everyone else shouldn't be too skeptical as well, this is the first time I hear Vega say it's time for them to start replacing their team because they're not doing a good job and he's right.

I'm sure any Kabam employee (including Karate Mike) can talk privately with DLL if they felt the way you think they feel.

As a player I appreciate getting a designer's perspective on things, as opposed to having them get censored. This is pretty much why Mike and others have said they don't come to the forums much anymore, because they get attacked for sharing their thought processes, so they now keep communication to the bare essentials. And it's like, you want communication, but only if it's communication you agree with? Ok…

Hardly a coincidence that this happened after his last video. What’s sad is that Vega was accurate regarding pretty much every MCOC topic and champion. Even if he said something that Kabam didn’t appreciate, there’s a very high likelihood that he was correct. It’s hard to change for the better if you handle constructive criticism by getting rid of the person providing it.

His criticisms are valid and they aren’t shocking or out of step if you have played this game, watched content, and seen Kabam’s attitude at times. This game on the wrong track…. And nothing in the Dev diary suggests otherwise from a 30,000 feet perspective. The people making all the wrong decisions that have been course corrected (and not fully corrected) are still making the decisions… that’s no a recipe for success.

However valid his points maybe, his execution of them is pretty bad. He's painting himself as some sort of savior by starting his video by saying he's willing to come their and work for free for a few months to fix the game. In another video he claims he's one of the few ccp members to speak up over changes he thinks are bad. Man's got an overinflated opinion of himself.

He was likely asked to leave. The ccp is a privilege they give to certain people. You can critisize the direction of the game and it's issues but when you're essentially saying you all suck at your jobs, let me fix it, no company is going to happy about that.
