What is the real reason that ensnare has to be removed? If it’s really about defense then just turn it off during when she is placed as a defender. Several champions already have abilities that only work from one side of the battle (Enchantress, Karolina, Serpent and Nico to name a few) so why not implement that here.
They are still trying to spin this as a defensive change and wanted to remove ensnare to open up more champs to fight her with evade (referencing node 42) and the solution to that is by putting the anti-evade into her severe debuff that now you can even get rid of! How does this make her easier on defense which is what you claim you want?
In my opinion that is the most “middle of the road” we can get, Kabam gets to remove it from defense and we get to keep it offensively. I get that there is a plus side to placing anti-evade behind a severe debuff but on offense I enjoy the chance to maybe turn off abilities.
