I really appreciate Kabam Rex & Pinwheel answering question. Can I please have one final question.
Again, I very much appreciate you guys taking the time and trying to communicate with us and I’m sure it hasn’t been easy dealing with all this ire from inconsolable players/customers. This is a very good thing and is indicative of a company that still wants to provide a service.
With this being said though, I have a serious concern that I would like to know if it is being discussed internally. That concern is of champion excitement. With regards to Spider-Woman, I can’t think of a single person, and I am pretty up-to-date with most of the community that wanted this to happen, that asked for this to happen or even saw it coming in the way it did. If champions are getting tuned down in what seems to be completely unpredictable ways (I say this based on how other champions just simply or not and are overwhelmingly not aligned where their respected attribute bars) how can anybody be excited for anything in this game?
This game is about champion acquisition. That’s the punchline of everything we do in this game, its for the excitement of getting something exciting. Everything is just a pre-cursor to that crystal opening that you’ve been saving for, working for and for many times players, paying for. When you get that champion that you’ve been hunting for months it’s a wonderful feeling. But, that feeling, it feels like it’s completely gone now.
If a champion is good enough to want it’s already good enough to Nerf. Is there anything happening internally where anyone is discussing this at all? Like really think about how boring the game is gonna be if everybody has to wait six months to enjoy anything, by that time the hype is gone.
For example, I’ve been wanting Dracula in this game for a long time. He and I suggest anyone who enjoys Marvel content, check out his story, he is a very cool character. The animations team, which seems like have an incapability to not hit the animations out of the park every single time have brought this awesome character to life in such a cool way. I want to be excited for him, but the reality is, I can’t because he could get Nerfed by the time he passes or fails his balance probationary period. By that point in time, everyone will have seen his animations a million times and will be so used to it, the hype will be gone. So, in a in closing, where is the excitement in anything now? This is Marvel Contest of Champion Acquisition and now, it just feels like it’s been sterilized.
