Would like to hear yalls personal opinion,

Imo they are doing damage control in preparation of cyber Black Friday deals because they way this whole year ever since banquet 2024 or even the past couple years haven’t been so good for the game. “IMO”

Banquet 2025 is gona be crazy time for them to makes sales aswel.

But what are your thoughts on the direction of the game?

Will you continue to spend,play & support the game? Hopefully the game gets better because the players deserve better.

Until they address the root causes I just can’t see myself caring. Truly addressing and fixing lag, AI hyper speed recovery times, missing player frames, general quality control and defenders like Serpent and Enchantress who are cancers far worse for the game than Herc ever was (sorry Herc brought fun and hype the other two 💩 brought the opposite) I can’t take this same ole song and dance seriously.

I'm glad Kabam is fixing EQ SQ and gave compensation of bit, they still gotta fix AI and game performance but main thing is,

Unless and until Kabam makes a defender who generate same hype like HERCULES did on attack, the game will keep falling.

Now, that defender have to be skill based like Ares, Grandmaster but also not overly tuned up like them, a balance of fair fight and "lol you're dead" defender.

These current Serpent, Enche and whatever fancy defenders.come are too rng or roster dependent or Kabam just make defenders broken only to release perfect counter 2 months later 🤡 Yelena big L with Cassandra and DeadPoolX

Game needs skill based defenders instead of "you must have this attacker or you LOST 🤣"

and not direct counter to it for least half year, keep doing this and maybe game will get healthy.

Release attackers who assit into these hard skill defenders fights but only assist, not "use sp2 sp1, congratulations hard defender turned into winter soldier." 👊

Especially after the nerf of Spider-Woman how can we even invest to buy anything if they just nerf the champions a few months after their initial release?

They have lost the trust of the community. We need some radical changes in the lead team. Someone is making a lot of bad decisions

No. With the AI and game issues still not a priority + the energy, EQ, and SW fiascos… no livestream or comp fixes that (especially when even the comp has a mini fiasco element). Not saying it can never be fixed but signs aren’t looking good.

Adding onto this. As wild as it seems to say. I think they need to run any rebalancr or game announcement post through Crashed before it's allowed to be posted.

I'm fairly confident that if crashed had written the spider woman rebalance post or had at least one pass on it that the situation wouldn't have been close to this bad

nope.. also they gonna release a new bunch of statcast relics i don’t see the added value in the game they only boost your stats and for the rest they do nothing extra. and there are still plenty of champions who don't have a good relic ingame that really boosts their dot or other skills like antman relic for spiderwoman spider ham etc

The last couple years the most fun I have playing is from Incursions and BG ally event (RIP solo). These were good times. Aside from the odd saga incursions, they seem content with letting these two modes languish. I think regular incursions has not been buffed in over 15 months.

Story is Gutted, EQ gutted, Variants are dead, Incursions the odd saga, raids rewards rapidly outdated, then just gotta tolerate AQ/AW. The bright side you get the odd endgame task every few months, usually done in a few hours. So what is there really to do, if your endgame?

Monthly Carina's challenges, weekly, just anything. Something give us something to do!
Lets just do Mutant Treasure Island and Rockets scrapyard for SQs. Bring back the best of hits, and save your time on SQs for a while. (Mysterium is awful and has never been fun).
Separation and a new Title chase is needed for endgame players (it has to be meaningful).
Unranked BGs, I don't get it. If there's no ranks, no stakes, what in the? Create limited time 3 day BG events on weekends, capped by * level, class types, tags, whatever. Slap some mediocre rewards in it, call it a day.

It's probably pointless asking, but I guess its all you can do when you hope they can pull the game back to something fun and enjoyable on the daily.

It really is a game bar none, it just needs to execute, get some pucks to the net, put some lumber on it, dump n chase if you have to but it's been enough time in the sin bin in 2025.

No. Nothing I’ve seen convinces me we aren’t in game end-times. Would need to think very carefully about spending money on a game that may not be here in 12 months.

Having said that as a fairly recent valiant there is still plenty of good content for me personally. Exploration of chapter 8, all of chapter 9, Epoch of Pain, possibly necropolis. I’d like to at least get through the first 3 before it all falls through the floor.

I don't know if it's a question of trust for me. I've always trusted that they want to do what's best for the game to keep it running for as long as possible. I have disagreed with some of the decisions that they've made to further that goal, but I haven't lost trust in both me and them ultimately wanting the same thing - for the game to continue running.

For example: I think the general idea of an adaptive EQ difficulty is a good one since it should, in theory, keep both the difficulty and the rewards of the EQ relevant for everyone going forward. However, the execution of it was painful this month. I don't think the update fixed all of its issues and I don't think the dev diary addresses some of the biggest problems that I (and many others) see with it, but I still think that it will be a good addition to the game once all of the kinks have been sorted out. I'm just baffled that they scrapped the old EQ entirely and rolled out an untested new format. I'm sure that they tested it, but it clearly would have benefited from being tested by the community before the 1.0 build was released into the wild. Having an "adaptive SQ" one month would have made them aware of all of the problems before scrapping the old EQ format entirely.

The Spider-Woman situation is similar, in my eyes. I completely agree with the core nerf. I 100% think that Ensnare should be removed from defense. I think it's actively harmful to the game. Serpent and Enchantress are really, really, really difficult defenders, but at least they're reliably so which means that your usual counters tend to work well in most regular circumstances. The problem with Spider-Woman is that it's very hard to counter her even when you're playing "right", because she'll randomly fail anything you try to do throughout the fight.

So I agree with their general intention, and I think the decision to nerf her was made with what's best for the game in mind. But again, the execution was terrible.

Therefore, I'm a little conflicted. I still have faith in their overall vision for the game and how to keep it running. However, they are making terrible decisions when it comes to achieving that shared goal that we all have. The good thing is that I think those bad decisions have been mostly short-term. I haven't felt my faith in the rebalance program get rocked to the core like some other people's faiths seem to have been, so I am fairly confident that things will get back on track there shortly. Likewise, I felt that the emergency improvement to the new EQ was a solid one and it seems as if further good changes are coming down the line. The issue will be how far down the line they come. It's a little worrying that they don't have the capacity to fix the need to complete Classic difficulty until early next year. That in itself isn't one of my major gripes with the adaptive EQ, but I hope that doesn't mean that other changes will also be delayed for similar reasons.

In the end, I'm cautiously optimistic. It's hard to say why so many terrible decisions got bundled into one single month, but it does seem anomalous to me in the grand scheme of things. I would be very surprised if October turned out the same way. But despite that, there's still work to be done to get the ship back on track. I still think we have the same destination in mind, but let's not hit any more icebergs on our way there, okay?

We know that you take part in every single sale. You don't just do arenas, but max out these special sales. (Units + units and resources). You are probably among the top 100-200 player. Like the other guy who is claiming he is among the top 10, He spoke his mind clearly. It's upto you too.

I haven’t bought anything since July 4th deals and most likely $pen on cyber deals but I think it will be a big “push” for kabam to let r4 open the floodgates, and more “titan” crystals/shards as I see that a lot ofnpof people are now Saving every single Titan shard every batch of new champions.

as that is the easiest way to get new champions.

I was not happy with the change with spider woman nerf as I just duped mines.

as for deals I decided to spend my units and went go silver samurai. I did pull him in 60 crystals witch reset back to 120 crystals lol

used my units instead of buying the deals.

But i know plenty of people who $pent to get garantee silver samurai from the deals, all the big spenders can careless it only took 1 big whale to make a post on here and you see how kabam and community treats them like they are just a number and a small fish.

Thats why I am waiting for cyber deals. I spend but I wait for big deals 4th,cyber and Christmas deals.

I care enough to make a post so “maybe” Kabam can see it. But the game NEEDS action now. Not this “roadmap” and wait another couple months for the game to be better lol.

I’m pretty much on board with the “devil is in the details” crowd. We’ve been here before, the team is apologetic, players get a relief package, then we start the cycle again. It is a tale as old as the game itself.

Game mechanics issues are paramount for me. I’ve more or less given up on them, and I’m fortunate enough usually be able to have a ton of expiring pots to cover malfunctions. That doesn’t mean they aren’t still vexatious and in need of attention.

But I don’t play competitive modes at a high level anymore—BGs just to get objectives and hit GC, voluntary AW/AQ. As a result, the lag and input issues aren’t nearly as frustrating and can be papered over in things like EQ/SQ.

So will I spend? Maybe some, but I’m finding my game play to be way less frequent, partly as a result of bugginess and partly as a result of the new cadence for releasing content. It’s just far easier to put the game down and autofight dailies over a meal. Compulsiveness around claiming webstore daily Valiants, maxing DSE, even BG objectives has fallen off a ton for me.

I’m saving units, and I will likely burn them on BF/CM. But I seriously doubt I will smash the piggy bank.

I asked as I saw your name in top ~100 summoner fest event. So I figured you haven't stopped spending yet, impling you still have faith in the game. Which kinda proves your own point in a way that the real big whales at the top don't care.

I don't disagree that this might be all a facade. We've been here long enough to see. (like MrZola's commnet above).

I can't comment of on your experience with Samurai, but I'm personally fine with SW nerf specially on D, mines r4 sig 180. I disagreed how it was put out for the community. And enough players have voiced thier opinions (loudly).

I do support their monetization strategy with cosmetics. Its a test for a start and is actually better if it can help reduce power gap even by 20% in future sales. The cosmetic will not change f2ps gaming experience. The skins are already monetized in much bigger game,

We can wait and see how all of this will turn out, and if it goes south, we know you'll be here with 'I told you so', but I hope you don't have to.

@Ercarret made some astute points, like the Adaptive EQ debacle being absolutely painful this month and how it was wild that after testing a couple different modes of Valiant EQ with very positive feedback, they release this absolute disaster.

Ercarret surmises that they must've tested it out themselves, but the only logical conclusion I can come up with is that they didn't play test it, because it's actually a more embarrassing failure and representation of Kabam, if they did test it and then give it to us in that form.

It's things like that which make me feel like the whole team is fractured, stretched thin, overworked, or that they decided to play some "fun game" like an "experience swap" where the game design team is suddenly doing the socials, and the character development team was in charge of building new game modes.

But even that crazy explanation wouldn't make sense, cause at the end of the day, the people at kabam, for the most part, are also players and participants in the game.

How does anyone release the Classic/Elder EQ as they did last month and think, "yeah this is good"? My faith in them is honestly in the negatives at this point.

Pretty much at this point the only thing that will change my mind is if Cyber/Banquet rolls around, and they've ACTUALLY made it one of, if not the best it's ever been. They have to after the disaster that was last year. I don't need to read another 10,000 word Dev Diary on how they "missed the mark."

If Cyber and Banquet are a complete 180 from last year, and even better - if they are actually upfront about what some of the deals are going to be and crystals are going to contain instead of just dropping it and running away, only that will instill my confidence in the team.
