If cosmetics were successful, would regular offers actually go down?

According to the dev diary, baseline revenue started dropping over the years so they had to increase the number of sales. Fair enough, but if cosmetics did take off, which I hope they do, would they back off with selling as much power as they do now?

I'm very skeptical, because I can't see any company in a capitalist society deciding to just leave money on the table.

Assuming cosmetics take off, do you see Kabam reducing the number of sales? Or the number of units needed for July, Cyber Monday, or HOF/Omega Days?

I'm a little skeptical.

I suspect they're going to keep trying offer models until they fill in the gaps of their revenue.

if cosmetics are successful, perhaps a larger % of sales would be focused on cosmetics in the future (rather than champs / mats). But in the big picture, no amount of revenue is ever enough revenue — especially for a game that’s owned by a public company. My guess is that they add cosmetics sales and perhaps that slows the down rate at which new “power” sales would have been added in the future. But I can’t imagine a scenario where they actually reduce the current amount of “power” sales.

and on the heels of "other ways besides deals to get people to spend", we get what might be the worst value daily cards in the history of the game.

Followed the game apparently being down (maybe they are going in to fix the deal?)

nothing says fun like having a handful of “deal” shoved in your face or be the first tab on your crystals screen .

Probably not. They already confirmed that the grandmaster's grace won't influence first appearance drops. This means that a cosmetic can either cost $10 or $500 depending on your luck.
