Free 7* Miles Morales Appreciation Post

Kabam really nailed this one.

First off, I love the first appearance champs with the holographic foil. It looks so cool. What an awesome flex for a collecting game. That's a huge win. On top of that: we all got a free 7* first appearance Miles Morales.

I'm overflowing with thanks for all of this. I imagine we all are. Thank you KABAM!

It's really cool, but from something to be monetised, I would expect a little more.

For example, imagine a subtle rainbow (or different) aura around your (or their) champion as you fight. It could easily be just a .gif over the character model and still feel novel.

It wouldn't be just a picture most people tend to ignore but boosted presence within the fight itself. Now that would be something I would love to collect and flex with.

I agree, right now the only time I see the holographic effect is when I go to my champions list. When I'm actually in a fight my focus is on the middle of the screen so I barely see the rainbow effect in my peripheral vision. I think it would be cool to get custom hit, block, and even special attack visuals.

This is a great gift and it’s free. I do like Miles for its unique ability to go invisible for unblockable specials, so much nodes on unblockables or unstoppable lately

He's very, very useable. Not top-tier, sure - but a very decent champ.

If they'd given away a few 7* Captain America, maybe you would have had a point.

Anyone know which other champs are classified as 'first appearance champs' in game currently, or was Miles first and we only get the holographic foil for first appearance champs from now onwards?

if you’ve got a full compliment of 7* champs I could see it has being a bit meh, but for the rest of us mortals it’s a great addition as a freebee.

I was playing around with him a bit last night and I forgot how fun he was. I'm not sure what I'll do with him yet but I'm happy to have a 7 star version at sig 200 on my roster and can figure out a plan later. I remember when they gave us the 10 7 stars last December (that included Vox) as well as a free Che'ilth around the same time. It took me a while to appreciate how good a lot of those were. I honestly don't know how good a 7 star Miles is in today's game but I do sincerely appreciate being given him for free!! I also think the 1st Appearance graphic is pretty cool.

For practicalIty sake, they should have updated his kit to fit current meta or state of game. It won't break the game and he doesn't need much to fit current meta. Reducing the spider challenges at the least would have been a nice benefit and even enough for Miles. A lot of people wont rank him even at max sig, and for those that do for the fun of it won't use him much.

I know it’s free, and it’s something nice but why give a gift that the great majority won’t use. We all know where Miles stand in current meta. It’s these things that Kabam miss that I don't know what to make of it. You want loyalty, to build confidence and love for the company and the game, you come close to giving players something they'd love and appreciate then miss the mark at the same time. It’s like how they gave us an eidol champ for free, I wonder how many ranked her and use.

Just dropping in to say that it's nice to see a positive post on here.

Let's not kid ourselves: if Kabam gave away a top-tier 7* champ, the complaint would be that everyone who previously "earned" that champ just had that effort wasted, or that now everyone has to face a challenging champ in Battlegrounds. No, this is a nice gift. Miles is solid and we don't have to worry about awakening him or using sig stones. The holo-foil effect is cool, and a great sign of things to come.
