MCOC PC: Game says I need to update again after installing the new version

After the latest update for Marvel Contest of Champions on PC, I am stuck in an endless update loop. Every time I launch the game, it prompts me to download and install a new update. While the download appears to complete normally, when the game restarts, I am met with the same "update required" message, and the process repeats. This prevents me from playing the game at all. I have already tried common troubleshooting steps such as restarting my PC and reinstalling the game, but the issue persists.

After just deleting everything from my PC and reinstalling the whole game with a 14GB download, and after wasting almost 2 hours, the game started but now the controls are not working. I customized my controls, but in the controls menu, there is no key mapping; only the default controls are working, which are very difficult to use. This is clearly a big bad bug that needs to be fixed. So how much time will it take just to play this game ???
