It's a bit much per. My alliance is active, but we'd be lucky to hit all of the milestones. Oh well, I can always buy them
I had the same thought. 8 points for a fight and 1000 for one bounty entry. It makes me want to ignore the event. The She-Hulk SQ was great. Simple and decent rewards for reasonable effort. Now there’s a confusing virus realm event and bounties I can’t get to. I’m all for trying things but if you make it super confusing people just won’t play. I’ve been playing for a decade and if I’m confused a lot of casual players won’t even bother.
Perplexing, especially given that Solo Raids fights also don’t count.
Unless I’m miscalculating, we need 3000 points from the regular missions to get an elite mission—each week.
Dr. Zola
When even is the next RAIDS?
And it's always odd when a SIDE QUEST is like "nope, not for you if you're not in an Alliance"
If you're in an alliance of 30 people, that equates to 100 points per member per week.
Whether it's right or wrong, it's already been stated that it's part of the Alliance Super Season and thus being in an alliance is of course going to be required to achieve the milestones for entry.
If you're saying 3,000 points per week (100 points per member per week) is too much of an ask, you're either in the wrong alliance, or the event isn't for you.
For complete clarity, I am an in alliance of 1, so I won't be doing any bounty missions at all- standard or elite.
Then I believe that’s what I’m saying. Open alliance, floating between 25-30 at most times, but with many retired or semi-retired players who pop in and out of game from time to time on top of several regulars who play daily.
My issue isn’t that the game has a monthly quest that rewards alliance participation, but rather one that requires alliance participation for entry.
The point totals required (if correct) underscore the notion that the team doesn’t understand the players who play their game and likely doesn’t play it themselves.
You’re welcome to join up if you’d like—but I suspect it will be a struggle to knock out 3K points a week in and week out.
Appreciate the invite, but I am happy missing out on this side quest and continuing my alliance of solitude.
Understood. Would have felt silly not to at least offer.
Yeah, we have the same issue in my alliance. Most of our members have been playing this game long enough to have finished college, start a family, and get too busy for a game every day. So we are mostly "retired" gamers. About 10 or so play daily/every other day which is never going to cut it for SQ. The fact that's required for entry? Pretty bonkers to me.
How does Kabam laud their longevity and not realize that their core base have also gotten older. The points scaling really makes no sense and is probably a symptom of the bigger issue that people mention here - Kabam doesn't play their own game in any real way. That's not karateMike or even Crashed. They obviously do. But I doubt any of the decision makers play like they want/require us to play
It's okay, Kabam provided a solution. You can just buy the entries you can't earn!
Don't know why they couldn't make it the same format as last year bounty side quest. I know there is the alliance super season going on but even when it was there last year, the side quest was not tied to an alliance. Just seems unnecessarily harder to reach the milestones.
these bounty side quests are so annoying, I hate side quests like this.
I'm in an alliance of 2 and I am happy to miss out on this side quest as well. All alliance related stuff just seems like a waste of time.
I would also note that incursions aren’t currently available and, as someone else noted, neither are Raids.
While neither would be the preferred way to get points for us, even if we wanted to we can’t currently use those modes to help get bounty entries.
In the short term, free sparkly 7* champs and comp bundles can be palliative, but they’re ultimately no fix for a game that just feels super out of step with its player base.
