Overlooking parts of the game economy
I feel like I’m seeing a lot of things that don’t make sense with the new revisions. I’m approaching this from my own game experience - part of an alliance around 100 AQ and 150-200 war.
1) t1 celestial alloys are far too scarce. While offering 1 and 1/7 per buy in the glory store is nice, the BG store only has 2. It takes 9 to get a 6-star relic to rank 3, plus plenty of other catalysts.
2) relic prestige doesn’t even matter because it doesn’t scale. It takes an astronomical amount of resources to take a relic from r3 to r4. I did one today, and I got 3 prestige points out of it. I could get 5 sig stones for a fraction of the cost and get more points.
3) t4a wasn’t made available enough. I’m at 28,500 prestige. Doing an entire month of EQ doesn’t even get me one t4a. Meanwhile, I need 3 of them to take a champ to r3. But even taking a champ to r3 doesn’t mean much, because I have exactly 50 of them already. The glory store is little help, thanks to the still-small packs (less than 15%), the steep price increase (150 per pop) and the low purchase cap (5).
4) radiance price cuts to staple items were inadequate. While the daily event changes were well done, a 5% price cut for t6b and t3a doesn’t even begin to offset the demand for players that now have r4 champs.
Standard disclaimers here. Hopefully this is respectful and constructive. I’m not a top-2500 player. I am a top-5000 player and I do that with minimal spending.
I just don’t feel like this meets players where they are. It seems like a new progression title would’ve been appropriate at some point, but I don’t know what that is, since I’m now sitting on 10 r4s.
