Approach to the Cure/Hunger Event - What if you stay on #TeamHunger?

So on day 1, the Cure Milestones are already almost at the top milestone, while Hunger isn't even quite at the 3rd. Assuming that trend continues and by the end of the event the Hunger milestones aren't maxed out, does that mean that the people who don't take the cure and remain infected will get fewer rewards?

I just want to make sure I clearly understand the implications to taking v destroying the cure before I proceed...

I'm taking the hunger anyway. We will reach the top most likely as they are peak milestones and will cone after the event ends.

The rewards are just pfps at the end of the day and miniscule amount of shards.

Are you not able to get both milestones? Max out one on one of them and then swap sides? I haven't looked to deeply in all of this

They're peak milestones - so you only get the top one. Meaning they're handed out after the event, so you'll only get one and not both according to the Dev post.
